Cynthia Nixon Calls Out Society's Treatment Of Women In 'Be A Lady' Video

Cynthia Nixon is someone who likes to speak her mind, and she is not ashamed or afraid to do so.

Such is the case even now, as she has decided to call out society's treatment of women and double standards with a powerful video.

Women have it a lot harder than people realize in society.

Whether it's because of men's expectations, or the expectation that the media has forced upon us, and more, we have to live up to high expectations.

And recently, Cynthia Nixon has decided to call that very fact out.

Nixon is actually reciting a poem by Camille Rainville who published it on her blog in 2017.

And the poem is meant to call out the contradictions that are thrown on women in society.

"Be a lady they said. Your skirt is too short. Your shirt is too low. Your pants are too tight."

"Don’t show so much skin. Don’t show your thighs. Don’t show your breasts. Don’t show your midriff. Don’t show your cleavage." it starts, showing various clips from fashion shoots.

It only gets better from there, so make sure you watch it for yourself.

The idea is to show people how hard women actually have it in the world, and hopefully open the eyes of people who throw these contradictions on us.
