You may not think of Kourtney Kardashian as someone who would run a tight ship in her household, but you would be wrong.
She has a lot of rules that her children have to follow, and it's what makes her such a good mother.
You may not think of Kourtney Kardashian as someone who would run a tight ship in her household, but you would be wrong.
She has a lot of rules that her children have to follow, and it's what makes her such a good mother.
Kourtney Kardashian is the last person you'd expect to give her children second-hand clothes, but she does!
“I kept a lot of Mason’s clothes, like little blazers and loafers and I’ve used them on Penelope."
When asked about her schedule with her kids, she said:
"I think you do whatever fits your lifestyle. Some people have things planned from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., which works for them. But honestly, the best thing for Mason is just to be with me. When we are out, we just have so much fun."
From what we understand, co-sleeping is when you let your kids sleep in your bed.
Kourtney loves it.
“With co-sleeping, I didn’t have to get up out of bed to get the kids back to sleep whenever they woke during the night".
We know from that one episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians that she has banned the word "fat" from her household.
Why? Because she doesn't want her kids to be self-conscious.
"They say if a mother is confident about her body that the daughters are way more likely to not have eating disorders. I'm fine about my body but I'll notice little things. If I'm like, 'Ugh, I hate this outfit! I'm changing!' my daughter will try on tons of outfits before she's happy.”
While we don't know why Kourtney doesn't use microwaves in her house, we have a couple of theories.
There are a lot of people out there who think that nutrients are lost when food is put in the microwave.
And there are others who believe that microwaves can cause health problems.
Kourtney has this belief that plastic elements can transfer into food if it's stored in a plastic container.
So she uses glass when storing food in her home. Plus, it's better for the environment.
"They don't really play with iPads at all. We used to let them use iPads at restaurants, but rules evolve as kids grow and we learned that didn't always work for us."
"... so we try not to have TV or iPads out during breakfast, lunch or dinner."
She'll make soups with farm-fresh ingredients, including beets, asparagus, and sweet potatoes.
She also likes to make turkey chili. Wow, just thinking of this is making me hungry!
"I have noticed a great positive change in behavior with my children when we stick to a gluten-free and dairy-free diet."
"I kept battling with myself back and forth [...] but I do believe that we have one life to live and I would like to live it feeling my best".
This is sure to be a bit of a horror story for some parents.
But it seems that Kourtney Kardashian cares more about her TV show than the education of her children.
“Mason's being homeschooled right now instead of being enrolled in kindergarten. It has to be this way. He is shooting Season 11 of the show.”
At least until the relationship becomes super serious.
So every time Scott Disick has a new girlfriend, she can't meet the kids right away.
“Kourtney thinks Sofia is too young to be a good role model. She insists that Scott has to be in a serious relationship for at least six months before introducing a girlfriend to the children," said a source.
It's no doubt that being a Kardashian makes Kourtney kind of a trendsetter when it comes to fashion.
She wants her kids to have that same freedom.
"He gets himself dressed every day and likes to come out and show us his outfit, and we're not allowed to have a say in any of it."
If there's one thing that Kourtney likes to do, it is dressing in super cute outfits.
She loves a matching outfit moment.
"If I know Penelope is wearing black jeans it'll help me. I'll be like, 'I'll throw on my black jeans!' It makes everything go quicker and it's difficult enough to get everyone ready and out the door — so I just use that as a guide of what they're wearing."
At all times, the nannies are required to call Kourtney "madam".
They better not disobey that rule, either.
“She asked me to call her madam at all times. I once slipped up and called her Kourtney, and she threw a hissy fit. I never made that mistake again.”
Sounds strict!
This may be a point of division for fans of the Kardashians.
All of the parents in the Kardashian family let their children wear hair extensions.
"Kardashians put hair extensions on 2-year-old North West and3-year-old Penelope Disick... Absolutely disgraceful. North West has hair extensions? Do what you want as a mom, but 2 years old and already being taught that natural isn't good enough?"
She once said about her nanny usage:
“I do have help when I’m working. It’s important to have one person I trust, so I know Mason is taken care of."
"Even on an airplane, he is with me even if the nanny is also on the plane. Any time I can have with him, I am lucky to have."
What a good mom!
