Father And Son Convert An Old School Bus Into An Awesome Tiny Home On Wheels

Sometimes I catch myself admiring other people's huge glamorous houses, and I wish I could one day have one of my own.

On the other hand, when I see people coming up with unique ideas for alternative ways of living I'm very intrigued. Case in point here: This father and son team turned an old school bus into the coolest tiny living space and I love it.

Patrick Schmidt never wanted to join the rat race.

His dream was to live freely and travel the world. So when he saw a unique opportunity he jumped on it.

He saw an old school bus for sale for only $4,500 and he bought it.

Then he spent the next three months renovating it with his dad.

The total renovation set him back another $9,000 to turn it into a livable motor home.

But in the end, the final result was totally worth it.

What he ended up with was the perfect little place he can now call his home.

It pretty much looks just like a typical dwelling when you step inside — you'd never know this was a bus.

It even has a fully functional little bathroom with a tiny shower, and of course most importantly, a toilet.

I think this looks like quite a quaint place. No?

The bus comes with some modern amenities such as an air conditioner.

Because after all, you never know where you're going to end up traveling, right? Good idea, I say.

Of course, the bus life wouldn't be the same without including a fully functional kitchen.

So they ended up installing one as well. I think that's definitely a necessity, too.

There's also plenty of comfortable seating in the set up of the mobile home.

I mean, once you settle up for the night you want to enjoy yourself, too.

Once you get used to living in such a tiny space you end up realizing that you don't really need that much stuff to make you happy.

Indeed.

When the project was fully finished Patrick ended up going on a 10,000-mile road trip that took him to Florida going through about 30 states.

Wow, that's really impressive.

He even found a lady love, who, was not only happy to join him on his adventures, but ended up becoming his life-long partner when they said "I do" together.

So cute!

It seems that they're both enjoying living their lives and following their dreams.

And the bus is definitely a great way to explore what the world has to offer.

Even their furry friend is enjoying the nomad lifestyle.

It looks like he's found the perfect way to look at the world from his point of view. Hee, hee.

You know, the more I discover these non-typical ways of living the more they're starting to appeal to me.

I wouldn't mind living in a mobile home like this.
