Chrissy Teigen Defends Vanessa Hudgens After She Said Coronavirus Deaths Are 'Inevitable'

Vanessa Hudgens has been under fire recently after she said on Instagram that coronavirus deaths are "inevitable."

While chatting on her Instagram live on Tuesday, the 31-year-old scoffed at the idea of social distancing until July.

"It's a virus. I get it. I respect it. But at the same time, like, even if everybody gets it, like, yeah, people are gonna die, which is terrible but, like, inevitable?"

Naturally, this message was not received well by many fans.

It was called "horrible" and "heartless."

Now, Chrissy Teigen is asking Twitter to take it easy on Vanessa because she knows first hand how hard it is to have the media pinned against you.

She replied to her own tweet saying: "this isn’t about me this time. but it will be one day, or it’ll be you. but yeah today it’s Vanessa lol."

She continued: "And no, life is rarely ruined for anyone, but you are damn well trying your best. just stop."

When questioned about her decision to defend Vanessa, Chrissy made it clear she thinks Vanessa just didn't convey her message properly.
