10+ Comforting Movies To Watch During Quarantine

This quarantine is going to suck for everyone. Not just because we can't go out, but because we're constantly worrying about our loved ones.

We need something to comfort us. Something to take our impending doom off our minds. Hey, how about a couple of movies that would do just that!

"The Emperor's New Groove"

It's a great mixture of fun and heartwarming.

And the best part is that there aren't too many heavy, Disney-like moments (i.e. killing off Mufasa), so you'll be comfortable the whole time.

"Good Will Hunting"

Miramax

Sure, it may have some down moments here and there, but if Matt Damon schooling some uppity Harvard guy with facts in a Boston accent doesn't comfort you, nothing will.

How do you like them apples?

"Team America: World Police"

Paramount Pictures

Take comfort in knowing that Trey Parker and Matt Stone managed to get a movie where puppets have sex in it produced.

If that can be done, then so can anything.

"Moulin Rouge"

20th Century Studios

There are a lot of musicals we could have picked for the "comfort movie" list, but Moulin Rouge is probably the best because it's a jukebox musical, and you'll already know all the songs.

"Pride & Prejudice"

Focus Features

There you go, mom. If you're reading this, I put your comfort film in the article.

Seriously though, this movie is pretty easy to watch. And it's something to watch every single Sunday!

"Step Brothers"

Giphy

It's one of the funniest movies of all-time, and from start, to finish you'll be laughing.

It's also endlessly quotable, so when you're skyping with your friends you can all scream "This house is a prison!" together.

"Semi-Pro"

New Line Cinema

If you're looking for a criminally underrated, comfortable Will Ferrell movie, then look no further than Semi-Pro.

And try to get "Love Me Sexy" out of your head after you watch it.

"The Big Lebowski"

Universal Studios

The Big Lebowski is, in a word: chill.

Sure, there's a bunch of stuff going on, but it's hard not to be cool when you're following a guy called "The Dude" as your main character.

"Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters"

Adult Swim

It is criminal that this show doesn't have more followers. It's absolutely bonkers, it's insane but above all: it's hilarious.

The movie is really good too and serves as a pretty good introduction to the series.

"The Dirt"

Netflix

Do you want a movie that will just run through the motions, won't weigh too much on your mind/body/soul, and will entertain the crap out of you?

In other words: want a movie that will make you feel, above all, comfortable?

"Star Wars: Originals or Prequels"

20th Century Studios

There's nothing better than a good old binge-watch during a quarantine! Pick one of the Star Wars trilogies: the originals or the prequels, and do a marathon!

Heck, why not do all six?

"Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan"

20th Century Studios

Don't you miss the good old days when Borat had just come out?

Cozy up in some nice, comforting nostalgia and watch everyone's favorite faux-Eastern European do some crazy stuff.

"Superbad"

Sony Pictures

It is the greatest movie of all time, objectively. Thus, it can be watched wherever, with whoever and most importantly at any time.

Especially if you're trying to forget that you're in quarantine.

“Clueless”

It's not only sweet and hilarious, but it's empowering as well.

Cher is one of the most iconic female characters ever, and she makes everyone feel good.
