Garth Brooks Is Performing A Free Concert On Facebook For Everyone Stuck At Home

Just because we're currently social distancing doesn't mean we have to give up all of our hobbies — just, unfortunately, the ones that involve going out to large events with crowds, like concerts.

Information about the coronavirus pandemic is rapidly changing and Diply is committed to providing the most recent data as it becomes available. Some of the information in this story may have changed since publication, and we encourage readers to use online resources from CDC and WHO to stay up to date on the latest information surrounding COVID-19.

Musicians have been getting around this in some pretty creative ways.

Artists like John Legend, Coldplay, Niall Horan, Hozier, and tons more have been live-streaming concerts on social media that fans can tune into for free, just for some entertainment during this tough time.

Keith Urban performed with his wife, Nicole Kidman, providing backup vocals.

Tons of fans were incredibly grateful for the experience, especially because it's all been free — fellow musician John Mayer even commented, adding that he's "Proud to know you."

Comedian Patton Oswalt was also doing his part, with some front-yard standup.

He had a few neighbors watching quite happily, so it was a pretty big success, even if it wasn't the kind of crowds that he's probably used to drawing.

Country icon Garth Brooks is the latest to join this trend, and his concert is Monday at 7pm ET on his Facebook page.

On his Facebook show, Inside Studio G, last week a fan suggested this to Garth, who immediately agreed: "Let's do that! This will be cool," he responded.

Garth will be joined by his wife, Trisha Yearwood.

"Monday night at 7pm ET the Queen and I are playing your requests during #StudioG," Garth tweeted out. "Tweet your song requests with #GarthRequestLive."

"Let's let music connect us during this disconnected time!"

"It's house cleaning ALL NIGHT LONG!!! love, g," Garth ended on a sweet note.

What an awesome gesture! It's definitely going to be an amazing show — are you going to be tuning in? Let us know in the comments!

Fans have been taking to Twitter to leave their requests.

People have been requesting their favorite Garth songs, especially the ones that he doesn't play as frequently as his biggest hits.

Fans are grateful for the opportunity to experience an acoustic Garth Brooks show live.

With so many people stuck at home, temporarily out of income, and incredibly stressed, lots of Garth's fans are grateful for the little bit of excitement and entertainment.

Some fans requested Garth cover songs, as well.

Including songs by Kenny Rogers, who passed away this weekend.
