The shots, which include Hannah smiling in a bikini, were not the issue, but people felt that her caption was insensitive to the current pandemic at hand.

"What's more contagious than a smile?" Hannah captioned the shots.

“The coronavirus, Hannah, the freaking corona virus,” one commenter responded. Hannah's own response to this comment was “shhh, spread love not fear.”

Hannah then edited her caption to include a note, "Just trying to spread some love here rather than fear."

"Not making light of the situation," Hannah emphasized, but many of her fans didn't agree with her defense.

"The insensitivity to a virus that is killing thousands of people..." one commenter replied.

"Please think about others and not just yourself," one commenter wrote.

“What’s more contagious is the corona virus and you are not helping to contain it with frolicking on the beach and having tik tok parties in a pool with numerous other people,” the continued, referencing Hannah's "quarantine crew" of fellow Bachelorette stars that have been sharing videos throughout the past week.
