Since testing positive for the coronavirus, Idris Elba has had a lot of time to think in isolation.
For one, he just revealed his thoughts on why the world has been hit with the pandemic.
The virus, also called COVID-19, has become a pandemic, with over 16,000 deaths worldwide.
Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson were one of the first celebs to make the shocking announcement while overseas in Australia.
One of their latest updates was a good one: they were thankfully released from the hospital.
Last Monday, he revealed that he is currently in isolation with his family.
He captioned the clip shared to his 2.9 Twitter followers as follows:
"This morning I tested positive for Covid 19. I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus."
While he said that he didn't have any symptoms, he said that he got tested since he had been "exposed" to someone who had tested positive for the virus.
In a live March 17 video on Periscope, he revealed that things have been "good and bad."
He said that while he still didn't have any symptoms, his voice feeling a "little tired" from not sleeping well.
It's part of the media mogul's OprahTalks show with AppleTV, where she has remote talks with experts, everyday people, and celebrities about COVID-19.
He suggested that the coronavirus pandemic is the planet "reacting to the human race" damaging it.
“Our world has been taking a kicking. We’ve damaged our world, and it’s no surprise our world is reacting to the human race."
“It is no surprise that a virus has been created that is going to slow us down, and ultimately make us think differently about our world and ourselves."
"For me, that's a standout thing that's very obvious. This is almost like the world's cry-out ... like, 'Hey, hey, hey — you're kicking me, and what you're doing is not good, so I'll get rid of you..."
Oprah agreed with some of Elba's theories on why this pandemic has hit the world.
"I think we all lose as human beings if we just think of this as a physical virus," she replied.
She continued:
"And this is the moment for our humanity to either rise or not."
It was announced Sunday that she, too, tested positive for coronavirus.
"I could have made the decision to put myself, maybe, in a separate room or stay away, and I'm sure that people are making those decisions. And they're tough decisions to make," Sabrina said.
