Britney Spears Encourages Wealth Distribution For People During Pandemic

While most celebrities have come forward with one comment or another regarding the coronavirus, I'm surprised to say that Britney Spears' has been the boldest yet.

She took to Instagram yesterday, recommending wealth distribution as well as a strike, and it's got the Internet buzzing!

Unless, by some unlikely chance, you've been living under a rock, you're probably painfully aware of the strange, disturbing times we seem to be living in.

When I said I wanted the "roaring '20s" this is definitely not what I meant...

Life as we know it has come to a temporary halt — and rightfully so — in order flatten the curve.

As of today, globally, there have been over 400,000 confirmed cases and 20,000 deaths due to the virus.

Dozens of celebrities are reaching out to their fans via social media, urging them to stay inside to protect the elderly and those with compromised immune systems.

Social distancing is key.

For example, the governor of New York shared a video messgae from Danny DeVito on Twitter, asking everyone to stay home.

"Hi everybody, it's Danny DeVito, and I'm asking you from the bottom of my heart — all over the state of New York — stay home," he said.

Taylor Swift posted this to her Instagram story:

She called out the people who have continued living their regular lives, partying and hanging out in groups, asking them to start making "social sacrifices" for the rest of the world's benefit.

Lady Gaga shared this:

"So I talked to some doctors and scientists. It’s not the easiest for everyone right now but the kindest/healthiest thing we can do is self-quarantine and not hang out with people over 65 and in large groups," she wrote. "I wish I could see my parents and grandmas right now but it’s much safer to not so I don’t get them sick in case I have it."

Ariana Grande shared this to her Instagram story:

She expressed how shocked she was to find out that so many people are still being so careless. She strongly urged her followers to start taking this situation more seriously.

Other celebs have been contributing financially, like Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.

"Covid-19 has brutally impacted older adults and low income families. Blake & I are donating $1 million to be split between FEEDING AMERICA and FOOD BANKS CANADA," Ryan tweeted.

Kristen Bell donated $150,007.96 to No Kid Hungry.

She and her husband, Dax Shepard, also waived the cost of rent for all of the tenants living in a building that they own for the month of April.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos donated $1 million to help relief efforts.

According to People, the couple donated toward "the purchase of urgently needed ventilators and additionally towards WIN".

Other than the possibility of death and lost loved ones, another major concern seems to be the economy.

Gyms, bars, restaurants, schools, and shops are temporarily closing down, events are being postponed, and countless employees are being laid-off.

And yesterday, Britney Spears came forward with a plan that has the web buzzing!

She reposted a message on Instagram, calling for the redistribution of wealth and strikes in response to the pandemic.

“During this time of isolation, we need connection now more than ever,” the post reads.

“Call your loved ones, write virtual love letters. Technologies like virtual communication, streaming and broadcasting are part of our community collaboration. We will learn to kiss and hold each other through the waves of the web.”

“We will feed each other, re-distribute wealth, strike,” the post continues.

“We will understand our own importance from the places we must stay. Communion moves beyond walls. We can still be together. ”

“Communion goes beyond walls," Britney captioned the post, along with three rose emojis.
