People Are Roasting Ellen DeGeneres After She 'Finally' Donates $1 Million To Coronavirus Relief

Ellen DeGeneres has come under fire on Twitter for "finally" donating money to coronavirus relief efforts.

Information about the coronavirus pandemic is rapidly changing and Diply is committed to providing the most recent data as it becomes available. Some of the information in this story may have changed since publication, and we encourage readers to use online resources from CDC and WHO to stay up to date on the latest information surrounding COVID-19.

Many celebrities have been quick to donate to the COVID-19 pandemic relief.

Oprah, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, and Dolly Parton were among the quickest celebs to donate.

And while many celebs have been giving AF, some hella $$$ celebs have been a little ~quieter~ which is ... not good.

One of those celebs has been Ellen DeGeneres.

Ellen came under fire earlier this month after comparing quarantine to jail.

Ah yes, it's just like every jail that's in a beautiful mansion in California!

On Wednesday, Ellen announced she will be joining Leonardo DiCaprio's #ALLINCHALLENGE and donating $1 million to COVID-19 relief.

However, many fans were quick to point one a cool $1 million is not much from the famed talkshow host.

This person just replied to Ellen's tweet with a screenshot of her net worth.

Totally savage, lol.

"All I can say is FINALLY," tweeted one fan.

There's a lot of shade about Ellen having to be challenged to donate in the first place.

What do you think of the controversy? Should Ellen have donated sooner?
