10+ Celebrities Who Were Roommates And Actually Stayed Friends

Being roommates with someone usually goes one of two ways: you either get along really well or you despise them (and their lack of cleaning skills).

Curious as to who shacked up in Hollywood? Here are 10+ celebrities who were roommates and stayed friends.

Some of these might really surprise you!

We all know that having a roommate isn't always easy.

Sure, it can be fun to have company, and it's always nice to split some bills. But sometimes, people just get under your skin.

Luckily for these celebs, they managed to stay friends while they were roommates!

1. Lea Michele and Dianna Agron

The ladies moved in together in 2009 while filming Glee.

“We have these smackdowns at work and come home and are like, ‘Wasn’t it so funny when we were fighting today? Let’s make cookies,’” Lea said in an interview with Vulture.

2. Ed Westwick and Chace Crawford

"Initially Ed and I became roommates here in New York because we didn't know if the show was going to last or not," Chace shared with Interview.

"Ed had never lived away from home, let alone in a different country."

"We got along and figured it would be a smart move financially. And really, it was also just kind of out of laziness."

3. Penn Badgley and Milo Ventimiglia

Chase and Ed also wanted their fellow Gossip Girl co-star to live with them, but he was already living with the This Is Us star who was almost a decade older than him.

Milo even let Penn use his ID to get into bars!

4. Lauren Graham and Connie Britton

"We lived in an empty house that we weren't supposed to be living in," the Gilmore Girls alum told Andy Cohen in 2013.

"We had no furniture and all we ate were Rice Krispies Treats."

5. Judd Apatow and Adam Sandler

“We were doing as comedians good enough to get by,” Sandler said about splitting a $900 apartment in San Fernando Valley with the now-famous director.

“We could eat at Red Lobster once every month. That was a big night out.”

6. Melissa McCarthy and Brian Atwood

"I knew she was a star so I told her to move to New York and live with me," Brian told PopSugar in 2012.

"We lived in Hell's Kitchen and we were so broke. I gave her a free subway map for her 21st birthday."

"It was just a special time."

7. Christopher Reeve and Robin Williams

Their friendship spanned decades, but it first began in the ‘70s when they were roommates while studying at the Juilliard School of Drama in New York City.

Reeve’s wife, Dana, even once described them as “closer than brothers.”

8. Robert Downey Jr. and Kiefer Sutherland

After meeting on set, the two actors lived together in the '80s.

Kiefer was even a shoulder for Downey to lean on when he went through his breakup with Sarah Jessica Parker from Sex and the City.

9. James Corden and Dominic Cooper

Both were really broke lads when they shared a flat together in London.

“We only had one piece of cutlery, which was a spatula,” Cooper said while on The Late, Late Show.

“And I remember a really depressing evening where he caught me—he came home and I was just eating baked beans with the spatula."

Relatable!
