People Bored At Home Are Recreating Classic Book Covers

It seems that this current pandemic is starting all kinds of interesting challenges. First, it was the musuem challenge then the pillow challenge and now it looks like the #BookCoverChallenge is taking over Twitter.

The premise is quite simple; recreate a book cover using your own resources found around your home and post it for everyone to see. Let's go!

1. 'Jaws'

I gotta admit, I'm more familiar with the movie than the actual book, but this cover art is as eerie as they come. And the recreation of it is not only spot on but super funny, too. Ha, ha!

2. 'The Paper Bag Princess'

How cute is this father helping his daughter get into character for recreating The Paper Bag Princess? I gotta say this is such a great bonding moment.

3. 'Little Red Riding Hood'

I remember vividly when my mom used to read this book to me. It was both fascinating and scary at the same time. How fun is this cute remake? The dog steals the scene here.

4. 'Slacker'

The cover of this book is so fun. Ha, ha! Looks like this sixth grade student put some serious thought and creativity to do their own version of it. This is absolutely the cutest. Am I right?

5. 'The Hobbit'

When you don't have a dragon but you do have a lizard, you too can remake a book cover of this famous story. Ha, ha! I love the creativity this person used to come up with this. LOL!

6. 'The Witches'

OMG, talking about getting into the spirit of this famous book, hee, hee. I love the expression on this lady's face. This is something I would totally do. I dig the whole vibe of this amazing recreation here.

7. 'Positively Izzy'

The teacher who posted this picture on Twitter was definitely very proud of her students for getting into this book cover challenge with gusto. It's great to see kids embracing classic books instead of something else.

8. 'The Magic Storm'

And here's another great take on a fun book like The Magic Storm. A sixth-grade student recreated for the book cover challenge here. It looks like it was a lot of fun to do indeed. Ah, nice.

9. 'Hamlet'

It doesn't get any more classic than Shakespeare's Hamlet. Am I right? This modern take on it that makes fun of the toilet paper craze is so fitting for this day and age. This is absolutely spot on.

10. 'God Emperor Of Dune'

I dunno about you, but I find the original book cover of this book slightly creepy. The lady who recreated this look is killing it here, though. I'm about to have a laughing fit for sure.

11. 'One Hundred Years Of Solitude'

It's pretty amazing to see how much work some people put into recreating their favorite book covers. This lady is totally nailing this book cover look here. And the parrot is a nice touch.

It makes me want to do my own project like this. too. Quick, help me pick a cool book cover I can do. Ha, ha!
