So, there were some pretty wild allegations against Hilary Duff over the weekend that suggested she shared photos of her eight-year-old son, Luca, ON SOCIAL MEDIA NO LESS, in an attempt to sell him.
Naturally, like any parent, Hilary made sure to shut down these claims before they could escalate.
Also, even if she was trying to do that, why on Earth would it be on social media?
Obviously, this is an outrageous, horrifying allegation that no parent would ever want to face.
She allegedly shared a photo on her Instagram account that sparked the rumor.
Which again...why would she even put it on social media?
Some people thought that the photo was certainly bizarre, but that calling Hilary out for anything more.
I am definitely curious as to why the photo exists in the first place if it actually does.
Thankfully, however, after realizing her name was randomly trending, Hilary spoke up and shut down the allegations.
She said that whoever thought this up obviously crossed a very serious line and needs to find something better to do with their time.
Hilary is now a mother of two.
She shares an 18-month-old daughter with her now-husband, Matthew Koma.
One cannot simply put such an accusation on ANY celebrity and expect to get away with it.
In fact, you shouldn't do that at all without ACTUAL evidence.
I mean, this is Lizzie McGuire we're talking about here.
It doesn't seem plausible that she would try to sell her child to anyone.
They also explained that it's unethical to cancel someone based entirely on a rumor.
Which obviously makes tons of sense.
Thankfully though, fans mostly seem to be on her side for everything that people said about her.
They added that most parents likely have photos like that of their young children and that it's meant to be harmless.
It was one of the most far-fetched rumors I've seen in a while though!
