As coronavirus continues to change the way we're all living — forcing everyone to stay home as much as possible and take extra safety precautions when going out in public, it's safe to say that this is a very strange time to be alive!
But Kelly Ripa is trying to make the most of it by quarantining somewhere tropical and fans are not happy about it.
She may have not forwardly lied to her fans, but she did give them the impression that she had been quarantining at her home in New York City, when in fact, she has been staying on a beautiful, tropical island.
However, this isn't the first time that Kelly has been in hot water with fans in regard to the current pandemic.
Back in March, just as the global lockdown was beginning, she uploaded a video of herself at her dermatologist's office, receiving Botox.
"Yes, there's a very serious medical problem going around right now. What is it?" Kelly asked.
"A lot of side effects. Lines, wrinkles," the doctor explains, mocking the side effects of coronavirus. So yeah, a joke in poor taste.
Kelly then begins to scrunch up her face, revealing some of her lines.
"But Dr. Anolik decided to be brave today and come into work to treat my acute Botox deficiency syndrome."
"Is there any Botox left for anyone else, doctor?," she jokes.
Yikes. Kelly, sis, WYD? Hundreds of thousands of people have died from this virus, and fans thought that these two were being aggressively insensitive about that.
Kelly and her family reportedly received orders from ABC to shelter-in-place while they were vacationing in the Caribbean, and therefore, decided to stay put.
"And we arrive and three days later, the entire world changed, really. I mean, everything shut down," she went on.
"We decided to stay where we were."
Every since, Kelly, her husband, Mark Consuelos, and their two adult children have been quarantining there.
This fan explained that while New York City has faced a devastating blow due to coronavirus, Kelly has probably been living her best life on a beautiful island.
Instead of worrying her fans, she probably could have given them some peace of mind by letting them know where she really was.
I guess technically it's nobody's business. But it is understandable that her fans feel misled.
This person admitted that they feel deceived by Kelly over this.
