The news of Halsey not being nominated for anything, evidently, came as a surprise to her and her fan base.
So, when she woke up and realized she hadn't been nominated in a single category, she took to Twitter to protest.
“Can u guys not take ur anger out on me for once or," she added, which was, unfortunately, met with quite a bit of backlash.
But Halsey handled it with class, asking her fans to stand out from her defense.
"I see a lot of you are upset. of course im sad too. None of it matters. literally none of it. You’re here. im here. + everything is gonna stay exactly the same, and without me is still a super tight, record breaking song."
"The truth is I am older now and I’m also an artist… most of these awards really aren’t what they seem at all," she said.
Her shade was subtle, but it was definitely there!
She let it be known that she is strictly making music for the fans, not for the validation of the academy music awards.
“Bi is greedy and never satisfied," someone tweeted at Miley, to which Halsey replied saying:
"Hey tigerbob. Doesn’t surprise me that ur saying this and ur page has u crying about Brie Larson too! Stop being afraid of women who aren’t afraid to do what pleases them and not other people".
When an interviewer asked Machine Gun Kelly if he had ever "smashed" Halsey, he quickly responded, "Absolutely".
Halsey then took to Twitter, to say: "How absolutely pathetic."
According to the executive, those types of women didn't fit into the "fantasy" that they try to portray.
Yikes.
"We stand in solidarity, and complete and total acceptance is the only ‘fantasy’ that I support," she wrote.
“It turns my guts that no matter how much power or success a woman has in this life, you are still susceptible to someone coming along and making you feel small out of spite,” she wrote in a note on Twitter.
"People bring anti-LGBT religious propaganda to my concerts a lot and it’s like, I feel like I’ve done enough good in the world that God’s gonna forgive me for eating some pussy," she tweeted.

"Very proud of the emotional performance i did with @JadeChynoweth on @NBCTheVoice tonight. And also very proud to have pissed off thw homophobic viewers at home who missed the message. Thanks for watching," she wrote.
"If you say G-Eazy one more [expletive] time, I will kick you out of this building," Halsey reportedly said.
"I will kick your [expletive] [expletive]. Test me. I will kick your [expletive] out of the [expletive] club. You’re not going to disrespect me like that at my own show."
