Quotes For When You're Always Exhausted

There is something very apt about the fact that I've been sitting here staring at this article document for the last half-hour, desperately hoping that my second coffee will perk me up long enough to write.

The jury is still out on that, but considering the state of the world, I think we're all pretty used to working with partially drained batteries right now.

Or maybe we're just those cheap rechargeable batteries that run out of juice within minutes of leaving their charging dock.

Don't judge the homeschooling dad who is chasing his second cup of coffee with a Red Bull before a work conference call. Or the mom taking an extra long bath while her 10-year-old plays video games all day.

We're all getting whatever rest, physical and mental, we can get right now, because we don't get replacement batteries for life. We just have to keep hoping that, maybe one day, we'll get a full charge again.
