15+ Bizarre Things That People Just Happened To Stumble Upon

Whether our eyes light up like a magpie or we're sketched out by what we find, we can usually at least tell what we've come across. We might not know how diamonds came to be scattered on the street (we wish) or why someone's toothbrush ended up in an alley, but it's at least clear what we're supposed to do with those.

But sometimes, there comes a time when we stumble across something that only leaves us scratching our heads. However, it seems that some among us have figured out what you're supposed to do when that happens as well.

From the looks of it, you take a picture and share your strange discovery with the internet.

It's hard to tell what the inspiration here was, but this art piece in the Dominican Republic is an even more ambitious crossover than *Infinity War*.

Reddit | ejh3k

Did the artist just notice that Thanos' jaw looked a lot like Homer's beard? Is this a commentary on how the media we love has been awkwardly smashed together under Disney's umbrella?

If that's true, is the McDonald's gauntlet a reference to the partnership they had with Disney for years?

Am I overthinking this?

Sometimes, a perfectly normal scene can stand out thanks to someone's clever observation.

Reddit | theofficialmmac

In this case, the uploader said, "Went on a hike yesterday and stumbled upon a sniper convention."

I'll never look at any grassy mounds I come across the same way again.

I'm curious as to why somebody went down into this dark crevice in the first place, but I imagine they have some questions of their own.

Reddit | iLikeFreedomandTatto

I suppose I can understand why somebody would construct a shrine to Nicolas Cage, but were they actually hoping to summon him?

I don't think that's how it works.

Even in perilous situations like this, the toys have to pretend they're not alive when someone like the uploader comes along.

Reddit | hehatesthesecans

I'm not sure why Woody is passively looking on in this situation, though. He's not trying to get rid of Buzz again, is he?

I'm the furthest thing from a golfer there is, but I know a rage quit when I see one.

Reddit | GreyPilgrim1973

I'd wonder how mad someone would have to get to wreck several hundreds of dollars' worth of sports equipment, but I guess the cost of replacement video game controllers can add up, too.

Fair enough.

I've got to say, the level of ingenuity that went into making this bridge is pretty impressive.

Reddit | the-d-man

That said, I'm still guessing that it would be uncomfortably wobbly to actually walk across. At least we wouldn't have far to fall.

While on a walk, the uploader watched a very strange scene unfold.

Reddit | moramarc

Considering that somebody appears to be filming this, maybe what we're seeing here makes more sense when you watch the finished product?

I'm definitely curious about it if it has a gun-toting Easter Bunny, though.

If I had to pick which image on this list I expected to get an explanation for, I probably wouldn't have chose this one.

Reddit | leperzoo

This just seems like a bizarre doll that someone made for a mysterious purpose, but a collector of a type of doll called American Primitives said this was a fraudulent specimen that someone made and stained with tea to make it look older.

We never run out of devious ways to make a buck, I guess.

While it could be a little odd to find one pair of discarded skates, it's likely to make us shrug and figure some kid doesn't want to play hockey anymore.

Reddit | barbiebeauty05

That said, I have no idea what we're supposed to think about over a dozen pairs of skates just left lying around like this? Were they all left here at once or did they build up over time?

And even if an entire hockey team quit en masse for some reason, this pile would still seem like it has a few extra skates.

This mini-putt course probably looked pretty cute and whimsical once, but time and neglect have made it really creepy.

Reddit | SunnyTheGinger

And considering that a New Edition fan apparently tagged it up, I'm guessing this place was abandoned a really long time ago.

Someone just tied this gym locker together with paper towels.

Reddit | BlackAut1

Sure, it would be insultingly easy to open this, but I'm guessing they thought people would be too suspicious of where this has been to touch it.

Does that make this the best or worst way to keep people out?

When someone turned a corner, they were greeted by a whole lot more than they bargained for.

Reddit | LounginInParadise

It's hard to tell what this mural is supposed to represent, but it obviously took a great deal of talent and effort considering that the faces actually look distinct.

This has to be one of the most specific parking spots I've ever seen.

Reddit | anonymoushaze

This was apparently found in the parking lot of a Canadian bus station, so I guess someone in charge of it figured out what most people come here to do.

Although most of the people on this list happened to wander into their weird scenes, the uploader of this one was supposed to be there.

Reddit | WeHaveAllBeenThere

As he put it, he's a mailman and he was delivering a package of logs to the...eccentric person who lives here.

He also said he didn't walk them up to the door, which is a little understandable in this case.

Some of the things these folks have stumbled across have mysteries that we may never solve, but this one couldn't be clearer.

Reddit | Angus-Mackenzie

I'm guessing that the next parent-teacher conference this parent attends will have a very appreciative vibe to it.

It seems that somebody jammed a bicycle seat into a log, but your guess is as good as mine as to why.

Reddit | dujango

At the very least, one commenter had heard of people doing this to make makeshift sleds.

I guess I'll go with that as an explanation for now because trying to imagine another function just made me picture myself shrugging my shoulders in defeat.

I guess it's because I never had them myself, but I wouldn't have guessed that these dolls have a weird stick holding their bottom halves together.

Reddit | gingorama

And to think, I never would've seen behind the curtain if someone didn't really hate this doll for some reason.

A horseshoe crab isn't such an uncommon sight depending on where you live, but they don't usually have googly eyes on them.

Reddit | SEND_ME_SPIDERMAN

And it may seem like whoever did this was really daring to get so close to the creature, but it turns out that horseshoe crabs are only poisonous when you try to eat them.

You simply never know what objects plants will find a way to grow out of.

A community building activity gone a little awry.

Reddit | 2buckburrito

Apparently painted rocks are commonly found in this community, with most families participating, but that doesn't make this one any less weird. Also, now I want cheese.

Dinner and a book.

Reddit | callibug

This user's boyfriend found what seems to be a bit of newspaper in his chicken, but really they're just doing you a service. They want you to to catch up on the latest happenings while you have dinner!

Reddit | Darkodz

A legend falls.

Reddit | j_m_williams

Though this is on an Ohio plate, apparently the same joke was made in Virginia and the man who did it was forced to change it. Dang government, can't take a joke.

Rocks and minerals and glass eyes.

Reddit | JinxXedOmens

I guess I never considered a glass eye to be something one could lose to the sea and find washed ashore, but, ah, she is a thief of all things. Also, someone just didn't have it in when they should have.

Reddit | Karmas-Camera

Be sure to follow road signs so you and other drivers don't get carried away by giant mosquitoes.

Imagine returning to the parking lot to get your car and finding this.

Reddit | Kenan80

Though kind of creepy, a user came in to let us all know that it's an art installation in France. I don't get art sometimes.

When you leave a vehicle parked downtown overnight on a Friday, there's a good chance it'll look a bit different the next morning.

Reddit | clumsy_mrs

In this case, it apparently picked up a passenger because some prankster thought it would be cute to put a trash bin on it and make "vroom vroom" sounds.

At least, I'm assuming they made the noises. Otherwise, what's the point of doing this in the first place?

Breakfast, the most important meal of the day.

Reddit | mrsenorsir

What is that even? A big fruit loop? A chunk of sugar? I guess there's only one way to find out.

University dollars being put to good use.

Reddit | msw201089

The action figured we've all been waiting for.

Reddit | quagdingo77
