1. Gordon trains in Mixed Martial Arts.

"I have a coach in LA and it’s something I love doing. I don’t do it at home but I’ve been into a cage and worked closely with a coach and it’s something I’ve worked heavily on in the last couple of years."

2. Gordon has 35 different restaurants and has received a total of 7 Michelin stars.

A Michelin Star is the most prestigious award that a restaurant or chef can ever hope to achieve.

It's a sign of superior dining excellence and is renowned world wide.

3. He really hates Bobby Flay.

"I walked into Bobby's Mesa Grill and said, “Bobby, let's cut the [expletive] and get in the ring you and I for 60 minutes and if you need a ten minute head start and extra sous chef, you can have them, but I'm going to kick your ass.”

4. His go-to meal when dining out is Beef Wellington.

Gordon said during a Reddit Takeover that he "grew up with beef Wellingtons. We have a national Wellington Day here in Britain now, and it's so nice to see everybody attempting to do it."

5. He doesn't watch himself on TV.

"Truth is, I don't even watch the shows because I don't want to see myself and say: 'Man, I need Botox' or 'Those jeans look terrible' or 'My teeth need to be whitened'."

6. He once threw Joan Collins out of his restaurant.

Technically, he was really only throwing out food credit A.A. Gill, a well-known nemesis of Ramsay's.

Still, the event was extremely publicized and Gordon faced his fair share of backlash.

But he was given the opportunity to make up and apologize years later.

Joan came back as a guest for Gordon's show The F Word. He taught Joan how to make the perfect omelet, thus squashing their feud.

According to Gordon, his mother was quite happy over the news.

When asked during an interview about the one thing he won't eat, Gordon replied,

"Any ready meal. It's so easy to prepare a quick meal using fresh produce, such as a simple stir-fry, but people still resort to ready meals that all taste exactly the same."

8. Gordon's last meal would be sea bass.

"Sea bass is the king of fish, so my idea of the perfect last meal would be a beautiful fillet, pan-fried with a light sorrel sauce, or served roasted with artichokes and a chive crème fraîche."

9. He doesn't handle spicy food particularly well.

Gordon appeared as a guest on the popular YouTube show Hot Ones. For those unfamiliar with how the show works, it's essentially a gauntlet of incredibly spicy chicken wings.

Let's just say that Gordon...struggled.

10. If he wasn't a chef, Gordon says that he'd likely be a Navy S.E.A.L.

"I’ve met those guys and have seen what it takes to be a SAS member or a SEAL and it is absolutely extraordinary on the paces they’ve put themselves through. They are elite athletes and their discipline is something I can relate to."

11. Gordon had never eaten Girl Scout Cookies before appearing on *Jimmy Kimmel Live*.

Gordon remarked on how he thought that visually, the cookies resembled dog treats.

How are you supposed to trust a chef who doesn't like the taste of Girl Scout Cookies? Can someone please tell me?

12. He absolutely despises dinner parties.

“I can’t sit there and pretend ­everything’s delicious when it’s not. The food is so often [expletive]. It’s just too hard to be diplomatic. That’s why I hate dinner parties.”

13. Gordon's aspires to cook for Hillary Clinton.

When asked what he would cook for her, Gordon replied,

"I would say something authentic, rich, and a sauce that had been doused with lots of red wine. Like a braised short rib, because she’s of that era—of that age—that she understands fine food."

14. He grew up playing competitive soccer and at one point considered going pro.

Unfortunately for Gordon, a knee injury sidelined his aspirations of one day taking the professional soccer pitch.

But you know what they say about doors closing and windows opening; I'd say it worked out alright in the end.
