10+ Musicians Who Deserve More Credit For Their Work

The music industry may be full of talent, but there's only a handful of singers who constantly top the charts.

This, of course, incuses the usual suspects: Ariana Grande, Drake, Rihanna, and the like. But what about the rest of them?

Turns out, there's a lot of underdogs in Hollywood who are worthy of your listen.

Here are 10+ musicians who deserve more credit for their work.

1. Justin Bieber

For many years, a rocky past and a questionable haircut overshadowed this Canadian singer's incredible talent.

Some poorly-written lyrics also accomplished that. The song 'Baby,' anyone?

But if you check out his album, "Purpose," it's just banger after banger.

2. Kacey Musgraves

Before she reached critical success from her Grammy award-winning album, "Golden Hour," the talented singer-songwriter dealt with country radio stations not playing her music.

A lot of this stemmed from her honest lyrics that basically branded her the "black sheep" of country.

3. Lady Gaga

There's been a lot of Queens of Pop: Madonna, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Rihanna, but one of the most deserving is Lady Gaga.

She's a true visionary — the wacky outfits are proof of that alone. Her lyrics also help people feel accepted for who they are.

She always pushes the boundaries of what's deemed "normal" and she can even act, too!

She even proved that when she starred alongside Bradley Cooper in A Star Is Born.

The singer was nominated for many awards for her work in the film.

4. Demi Lovato

It's difficult for some stars to escape from under their Disney shadow.

This is the case for Demi, who's most known for Camp Rock, Sunny With a Chance, and The Princess Protection Program.

Issues in her personal life have also cast a shadow on some of her success.

But when the singer made an appearance at the 2020 Grammy's, she blew the world away with her insane vocal range and emotional lyrics while singing "Anyone."

5. Adam Levine

Love 'em or hate 'em, you can't help singing along to any of Maroon 5's songs. They're just that catchy!

You can thank the frontrunner, Adam Levine, for that, as his unique voice, good looks, and awesome stage presence got the band on the map.

6. Jessie J

She's got a huge voice and incredible range, yet people only seem to remember the singer from her 2014 song 'Bang Bang' with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.

If you check out the singer's other stuff, you'll find that she has a real soulful, passionate voice.

7. Rita Ora

Unless you're the Spice Girls, One Direction, or Ed Sheeran, trying to make it big in American music when you're a Brit is not easy.

Just ask Rita Ora. The singer has an amazing voice that's super catchy, yet none of her singles have really hit it big on the charts.

8. Miley Cyrus

She's come a long way from singing Hannah Montana songs, yet Miley can't get the respect she deserves.

While many wish to forget her "Banger" days, that album had quite a few amazing songs.

Plus, just listen to her singing 'Jolene' from Dolly Parton and try not to melt.

She was definitely blessed with a unique voice and insane vocal range — most of us are too shielded by her Hannah Montana days to see it.

9. Bruno Mars

While 'Uptown Funk' won Record of the Year at the 2016 Grammys, this singer deserves way more praise than what he's been given.

He's always trying new things and creates music that gets people dancing on their feet.

10. H.E.R.

You may have only heard about H.E.R. over the past year, but she's actually been making music since she was young.

She even competed on Radio Disney's "Next Big Thing" before signing her first record deal at 14.

Some of her notable songs include 'I Used to Know Her' and 'Hard Place'.

At this year's Grammys, her talent spoke for itself, as the newcomer was nominated for five Grammy Awards at the 2020 Grammys, including Best R&B Album.

11. Taylor Swift

Hear me out with this one:

I know Taylor is a huge star, but her talent has constantly been downplayed over the years.

A lot of this had to do with overexposure and beef with other celebs.

But at the end of the day, whether you like her or not, Tay has raw talent.

As shown in the Netflix documentary, Miss Americana, Taylor has been writing her own songs she was a young girl.

So the fact that she hasn't won many Grammys over the past few years is honestly insane.

12. Pink

She's been making amazing music for decades, yet the singer is constantly forgotten about whenever a new singer comes along.

To prove my point: name one Ariana Grande song right now. Then, try to name a Pink song. Can you do it?

13. Little Mix

When it comes to all-female singing groups, certain names may come to mind: the Spice Girls, Fifth Harmony, and the Pussycat Dolls.

Little Mix may be relatively unknown, but you've likely heard their catchy tunes, including 'Shout Out to My Ex' and 'Break Up Song.'

14. Kesha

You might be surprised to hear this, but Kesha can sing, and she can sing really, really well.

Basically, the songs 'Timber' and 'Tik Tok' simply didn't do her justice.

To hear her true potential, listen to the song 'Praying.'
