Leonardo DiCaprio Pledges He Will ‘Take Action’ To End The ‘Disenfranchisement Of Black America’

Leonardo DiCaprio has joined the growing list of celebrities to show their vocal support of the Black Lives Matter movement.

“I commit to listen, learn and take action,” Leo captioned his post, which was a text box Insta pic with the same phrase.

“I am dedicated to end the disenfranchisement of Black America, that has been present for too long.”

"I will support those individuals, organizations and coalitions that are committed to bring about long-term change," he continued.

Leo listed Color of Change, Fair Fight Action, The NAACP and the Equal Justice Initiative.

Leo's post comes over a week after protesting and riots began taking place across America and the world (in over 430 cities) in the fight against police brutality and racial injustice.

Leonardo is a well known and respected philanthropist in Hollywood, and has been for many years, so it's no surprise the actor has joined the Black Lives Matter movement.

He has been a vocal leader in the climate change initiative fore years now, raising millions of dollars for the amazon forest and the Australia wildfires.

Leonardo joined the list of actors who have vocalized their support for the Black Lives Matter movement, including Ellen Pompeo, Ariana Grande, Celine Dion, Kanye West, Ice T and more.
