He has even made sure to include his daughters — bringing them along to the protests, which he has recently admitted was "bittersweet".

Jamie has always been an advocate for the #BlackLivesMatter movement, not just as of recently.

Back in 2013, after the murder of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed 17-year-old boy who was shot by George Zimmerman, Jamie was famously supportive toward Trayvon's family.

"I'm absolutely committed to all you out there who have young kids," he said during a community event in South Florida.

"I hope you never have to go through anything like this," he said.

"I don't want anybody to forget about this, because they can't forget about the fact that they lost their son."

"And the thing is, we're not asking for anything out of the ordinary. We're asking for justice."

And in case you didn't already know, George Zimmerman was acquitted on his charges after claiming self-defense.

Four days after the murder of George Floyd on May 25th, Jamie attended a rally demanding justice.

Speaking at an on-sight press conference, he said:

"This is the toughest time when things like this happen."

"All I wanted to do was let you know that we're not afraid to stand ... we're not afraid of the moment."

He explained how it "overcomplicates everything" when black parents have to teach their children "how to function in life," to avoid police brutality.

"Even the things that we've taught them don't seem to work," he added.

"All we're trying to do is ask questions of why," he went on. "I'm not a celebrity. I'm from Terrell, Texas. These are my brothers."

"This means everything because at the end of the day, when we see you guys out there on the frontline, we want to let you know that you've got support," he said.

"God bless George and his family."

Shortly after that, Jamie took to Instagram to touch on the issue even more and offer ways for his fans and followers to help.

"A group of us traveled to Minneapolis to be a part of the protests for #GeorgeFloyd and stand with our brother @stak5. I believe in being in proximity," he captioned the video.

"We were on the ground in Minneapolis, we traveled to San Francisco and we’re here in LA and the protests have been peaceful and beautiful."

"To everyone doing the work protesting, speaking, educating, signing petitions, thank you."

"For those who could only be there in spirit, we documented to let all of you have a glimpse into how beautiful it is when we all come together for a cause, the entire video is up on YouTube. The work doesn’t stop here, don’t lose steam. #BlackLivesMatter #justiceforgeorgefloyd".

Anyways, a couple of days ago in a series of Instagram photos, Jamie opened up about what it meant to bring his daughters to the #BlackLivesMatter protests.

He explained that it was "bittersweet" that his daughters were able to watch the world come together and fight for justice. But that it was equally "heartbreaking" that they had to witness this in the first place.

"Passing it along. Having my kids with me at the protest was bitter sweet," he captioned the post.

"Having them watch the world come together was beautiful…," he admitted, before explaining why it was also saddening.

I can't imagine the kind of pain he was feeling.

"But having to explain to them why we were all there was heartbreaking...," he continued.

"Let’s change the world so they don’t have to live in it the way we have been... #justiceforgeorgefloyd #blacklivesmatter".
