Sia Apologizes Apologizes After Confusing Nicki Minaj And Cardi B: 'Making A Buffoon Out Of Myself'

After finding herself in hot water with fans after accidentally mixing up Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, "Titanium" singer, Sia was forced to take some accountability for her slip-up and apologize to, not only her's, Cardi's, and Nicki's fans, but to Cardi and Nicki themselves.

The question is, will her apology be accepted, or will she be — as the kids say — canceled?

In case you missed it, there was some major drama stirred up on Twitter a few days ago involving a very unlikely party: Sia.

While the "Chandelier" singer is typically not somebody that we'd see involved in any kind of scandal, especially one involving Nicki Minaj or Cardi B, it's 2020. Anything can happen.

Thankfully, the situation was diffused rather quickly, all things considered.

But for a moment over the weekend, #SiaIsOverParty was beginning to trend on Twitter.

Things were not looking too promising for her! But for now, it looks like she is un-canceled.

As you may already know, Cardi B and Nicki Minaj already have a rocky history...

It all started when Nicki was featured on a song called "No Flag" featuring Cardi's husband, Offset, and the rest of Migos, and 21 Savage.

Her verse seemed to be firing shots at Cardi, however, there's no way to know for sure.

“Lil [expletive] I heard these labels tryna make another me,” she raps, “Everything you getting, lil [expletive], is cause of me.”

While it may have sounded like these lyrics were directed at Cardi, Nicki quickly denied the claims and explained that she had written those lyrics months prior.

After that, A LOT of remarks were made by both Nicki and Cardi for quite some time.

The drama was slowly and passively becoming more and heated.

We were all just waiting for it to finally hit the fan so that the steady incline of animosity would come to a halt, at the very least.

Things came to a boiling point at New York Fashion Week in September 2018.

Cardi B approached Nicki, to address the “lies Nicki was spreading” about her, and for allegedly insinuating that Cardi is a bad mother to her then-newborn daughter, Kulture.

Before being escorted off of the premises, a security guard accidentally elbowed Cardi while trying to apprehend her, and that's how this infamous goose-egg ended up on her forehead.

A couple of months later the two rappers were finally able to settle their beef — both seemingly exhausted by it.

No public apologies were made, but they were able to squash their beef via social media, and we haven't really heard from either of them in regards to each other ever since.

Anyway, amid the height of the recent #BlackLivesMatter protests, Sia accidentally mixed-up Cardi B and Nicki Minaj, which fans found to be inadvertently racist AND inconsiderate to their past feuds.

Replying to a since-deleted tweet where a fan asked if Sia was going to be collaborating with Nicki Minaj, Sia tagged Cardi B instead of Nicki Minaj.

"I love @iamcardib and although this isn't a collaboration, I would love to COLLAB with her any day!," she tweeted.

Naturally, this tweet was not very well received.

Sia was under the impression that she may have resparked unnecessary drama between the two rappers.

She wrote in another since-deleted tweet: "Hey @cardib @NICKIMINAJ you aren't thinking about a feud right now are you?"

"We are focused on the problem of systemic racism," she tweeted.

After deleting that tweet and realizing that she had completely misread the situation, she tweeted again — this time apologizing for the misunderstanding.

"I totally misunderstood a tweet earlier that has resulted in me making a buffoon out of myself," she wrote.

"Sorry @NICKIMINAJ and @iamcardib if you hear about it. Can I just like you both?," she concluded.

I am not totally sure what any of this had to do with her not being able to like both Cardi B and Nicki Minaj.

I think it is fair to assume that this whole thing was blown way out of proportion.

Neither Cardi B or Nicki Minaj have responded to Sia's series of tweets, and I'm guessing that they probably never will.

If anything, they're probably just as confused as Sia was!
