Grandma Documents Heartwarming Relationship Between Her Grandkids And Her Poodles

If this isn't the very definition of "friendship goals", then I don't know what is.

A grandma from Japan has devoted an entire Instagram page to documenting the absolutely adorable relationship between her young grandkids and her three giant poodles. Because if there's one thing we love more than admiring cute dogs on the internet, it's admiring those cute dogs bonding with even cuter children.

That's peak wholesome content right there.

The grandma's Instagram page actually first went viral years ago when the woman's granddaughter, Mame, was just one year old.

Back then, pictures of the little girl posing with her grandma's giant poodle, Riku, started making the rounds on the internet and gained more and more people's attention, obviously because of how pawsitively sweet their friendship is.

Although grandma Tamanegi has two other poodles, Gaku and Qoo, who regularly featured in these early pictures as well, it was clear that Mame and Riku shared a particularly special bond.

Just a few years later, Mame now has a little brother named Mugi who, of course, gets along splendidly with his grandma's dogs, too.

This tight-knit bunch are constantly hanging out together and getting into all sorts of shenanigans, which are all carefully documented on their Instagram page thanks to their watchful grandma.

As My Modern Net reported, at 13 years old and the only furry fella in this family with black fur, the eldest dog, Qoo, acts as the group's leader and keeps a mindful eye on both the children's and the other poodles' activity.

Riku, age 11, is the calming center of the bunch, and will regularly take naps with the kiddos to help them settle down. The newest member of the canine trio, three-year-old Guku, is all about having fun and is more than happy to teach the grandchildren all about making the most out of playtime.

Whether it be jumping on a trampoline, testing out their cooking skills, or simply lying on the floor for some quiet reading time, the poodles are always more than happy to join their favorite kiddos for any activity.

The dogs have even been there for all the really big moments, too, like taking part in a family member's wedding day.

As Tamanegi told Digital Trends, she was inspired to start snapping pics of the adorable bunch back in 2015 when her newly married son and daughter-in-law came to live with her and her dogs in Yamagata.

“I wanted to record life with our new family,” she explained, adding that it became very obvious early on that the real stars of her Instagram page was her dogs and her little granddaughter.

“I’m just so surprised," Tamanegi said of her family's viral fame. "I can hardly believe it even now.”
