Cardi B Slams Fans Who Call Her Homophobic After Old Clip Resurfaces

Cardi B is putt her foot down against the allegations that she is homophobic, transphobic, and simply anti-LGBTQ, with a rant on Twitter yesterday afternoon.

She admitted that although she has made some ignorant comments in the past, she has since educated herself and has intentionally changed her point of view on the topic.

It's leaving fans divided, that's for sure.

ICYMI, yesterday Cardi B went on a major Twitter rant, denying the allegations that she is homophobic, and she did *not* hold back.

It all started when a fan tweeted: “That’s crazy, considering the woman is homophobic and transphobic," about Cardi.

Back in September 2018, Cardi was in hot water with fans after sharing a transphobic meme on Facebook.

She later apologized and pointed the finger at one of the members of her team for making the post on her behalf.

Then, in January, she and her husband Offset were both dragged through the mud for the use of homophobic lyrics in their music.

So, this had been going for quite a while.

She then encouraged everyone to fo their research before making such a bold assumption about her.

"And research my encouragement to the LGBT community before ya [expletive] even knew who was Cardi."

Cardi saw the tweet and immediately defended herself in a series of tweets, explaining that perhaps at one point she did make an ignorant remark, but has since educated herself and changed her views.

Gotta respect the fact that she is admitting she was wrong and taught herself to be better.

She explained that she keeps getting flack for the same old video that she has apologized for several times, but no one ever posts anything about her LGBTQ-friendly content.

"To call me homophobic & transphobic 1 but never post about the ones where I support the LGBT community which are multiples and the multiple tweets I posted in support," she said.

She also explained that she supports the LGBTQ community because of personal confusion she had about her own sexuality at certain points in her life.

“I don’t support the LGBT community because I have ‘gay fans’," she stated in her apology.

"I support because of the confused [sic] feelings I had growing up on is it normal to like girls?”

“I support because I know how hard it was for my gay cousin to come out to his very strict Dominican family.

"How the [expletive] am i homophobic or transphobic?," she tweeted.

"Have you been to a carribean island where you really see homophobia! Have you dealt with a parent that can’t accept you for your sexuality?"

"I said some ignorant things b4 that apologized for & educated myself on it don’t mean I’m homo.."

"Ya keep using that same 1 video that I apologize for over & over again," she went on.

"I support because I seen the transitions & the feelings my glam team having during their time with they body transition & my sister ..," she went on.

"So before ya make it cool to call me homophobic and transphobic learn what those words mean," she went on.

She said that she feels personally connected to the LGBTQ community because of the struggles of close family and friends in her lifel.

"I support because I know the pain my cousin from my mom side which is a Tran have a [expletive] up relationship with her dad for years !"
