'Friends' Fans Notice An Easter Egg About Jennifer Aniston In Iconic Wedding Episode

Look, we love a hidden detail in this house. A silent homage. A gorgeous tribute. There's nothing like rewatching Friends for the 75th time and noticing things you swear you've never seen before! That's how fans felt when they noticed a lil' tribute to Jennifer Aniston's Greek heritage during Monica and Chandler's iconic wedding episode!

*Friends* is a show that is known for their Easter eggs! It's clear the whole cast and crew had a lot of fun during the show's run.

One of my fav Easter eggs happened after Courteney Cox married David Arquette and became Mrs. Courteney Cox Arquette during the summer before the sixth season of Friends was released.

In addition to adding "Arquette" to Courteney's last name in the opening credits, the post production crew added "Arquette" to EVERYONE'S last name!

NBC

What a cheeky homage to the newlyweds!

Hilarious, right?!

Another great Easter egg is this moment right here.

The gang walks into Central Perk, only to find a bunch of strangers sitting on their usual couch.

Instead of finding somewhere else to sit, the gang turns around and walks away.

The funny thing is, the strangers sitting on the couch were actually the show’s executive producers!

Just when *Friends* fans thought they knew everything about their fav sitcom, it seems some internet sleuths have discovered a never-before-seen Easter egg!

This one has to do with Jennifer Aniston and her GREEK AF heritage!

During Chandler and Monica's wedding, Rachel is tasked with finding a new officiant to marry the pair after a series of shenanigans leaves the couple without one.

NBC

While on the hunt, Rachel stumbles across a sign for a Greek Orthodox wedding happening at the same hotel. The sign reads that the wedding is between the Anastassakis and Papasifakis families.

What's the Easter egg here, you say?! Well, Anastassakis is actually a tribute to Jennifer's family heritage.

NBC

Jennifer's father John Aniston was born Yiannis Antonios Anastasakis on the island of Crete, Greece.

How cool is that?!

John is an actor himself and, funnily enough, one of his most notable roles is yet another Easter egg in the show.

He is best known for his role as Victor Kiriakis on the hit soap opera, Days of Our Lives.

And as we all know, Joey starred on *Days of Our Lives* for many seasons on the show.

Soaps in Death

He played Dr. Drake Ramoray, who often found himself in the middle of the most obscure, stereotypical soap opera plotlines imaginable.

Anyway, I don't know about you, but I think now is a great time to re-watch the series for the 700th time, and keep an eye out for even more Easter eggs.

What are some of your favorite from the show? Be sure to let us know!
