Maren Morris Says She Might Stop Posting Pics Of Her Son After Being Mom-Shamed On Twitter

Maren Morris is best known for being a rockin' country singer who gained worldwide fame with her hit "My Church" back in 2016, and more recently, her song "Girl" from her album of the same name.

Maren welcomed her first child with husband Ryan Hurd back in March, and has since shared some super sweet pics of her little family.

When you're a celebrity parent, it's rare that you can post a picture of your child on social media, and not find yourself being shamed in one way or another.

People love to complain about everything these days.

Take Hilary Duff, for example.

She posted an innocent picture kissing her son on the lips at Disneyland, and fans were quick to attack her, calling the picture "inappropriate."

Jessica Simpson couldn't even post a picture of her newborn in her car seat without being criticized.

You guessed it. Fans weren't happy that she was using a blanket as a cover.

And of course, there was the time Chrissy Teigen tried going down a slide with her daughter, and fans called her out for it.

They were concerned about Luna's leg getting injured, and while it's nice they're worried about her safety, that's Chrissy's job, not theirs.

Anyway, like many new moms, Maren is being mom shamed relentlessly on social media.

I think it's safe to say that every new parent is doing what they believe is best for their baby, and we shouldn't judge them for trying their best!

Especially when all we're seeing is one snapshot of their parenting on social media.

So when Maren posted a pic of herself and her sweet baby boy enjoying the sunshine, someone had to make a comment, mom-shaming her.

"Motor-floatin'," she captioned the adorable pic. CAN WE PLS TAKE A MOMENT FOR THEIR MATCHING SWIMSUITS?!

While most comments were noting how sweet the duo looked, someone pointed out that her son wasn't wearing a life jacket.

"Where is the baby's life jacket???" asked one Twitter user.

Thankfully, this hater was met with a lot of backlash.

"His mother is his life jacket. But if you were a mother and had any idea of how to look after a child, you would know that. She knew there would be some [expletive] who would say something like this and posted it anyway. Because she knows how to look after her own child," wrote one fan.

"Most moms can look at this photo and know exactly what is going on in the photo. Like do you really think they just floated around all day like this? Like maybe it was a minute or two window to take a super cute theme photo? Ffs. I hate it here," wrote another.

While replying to a fan defending her, Maren made it clear she was having enough of the mom-shaming.

"Honestly, I get so many criticisms of my motherhood on anything I post of Hayes, so I may just discontinue posting photos of him. Sucks but it’s kind of where I’m at," Maren wrote.

Even Maren's husbad, Ryan Hurd, took to Twitter to defend his wife.

He explained that she's a great mom, and there's no way that his son was in any sort of danger.

He also assured fans that Hayes does have two life jackets that he wears when he's in the water.

And also, moms are allowed to have a drink.

Let's hope the h8ters back off and let Maren (and all celeb parents) just live their lives.
