Curly 'Frizzle Sizzle' Plants Make A Quirky And Whimsical Addition To Any Home

Time and time again, nature just proves how amazing it is. In the plant world, this is exactly why people dub themselves "plant parents"—there are just far too many interesting and unique plants to not collect and stare in amazement at every day.

If you want to bring some major quirky and whimsical Alice In Wonderland vibes into your space, look no further than the "frizzle sizzle" plant.

Just look at this funky curly plant!

This funky plant is called albuca spiralis, or "frizzle sizzle."

This curly plant is marked by its narrow grass-like leaves and corkscrew-like tips that coil into a whimsical shape.

If tended to properly, plant parents may start to see and smell scented yellow flowers during its blooming season.

However, there's no problem in simply trimming off the flowers to keep the leaves' coiled shape.

Caring for these plants requires a bit of patience and perseverance.

Hailing from South Africa, the plant loves dry conditions at around 60 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, as well as partial sunlight in a sheltered spot away from radiators, vents, fans, and windows.

However, too little light won't produce those funky curls that make the plant so attractive, and too much light might burn the leaves.

However, if you want a plant that won't catch any diseases and doesn't need to be watered often, this is one to make space for in your plant family.

Not to mention, they'll make for a great conversation and statement piece in your home or garden and make the cutest "hair" pieces in anthropomorphic planters.
