15+ Pics That Take A Moment To Figure Out

For the most part, I would expect photography classes to focus (ha, get it?) primarily on making a clear, crisp image of your subject. I could be wrong, but that's the impression that I get.

But hey, if all pics out there were as clear as possible, it would be a bit boring, wouldn't it? We want a bit of fun challenge from time to time, don't we? Well, here are some pics that provided a good head-scratching.

Coming or going or what?

Reddit | Cyka101

It's the bushes that give it away, but at first glance, it sure looks like that golf cart is parked in someone's bedroom. Of course, it's just the reflection of a doorway on a window creating the surreal effect.

Turned on her head.

Reddit | aaron_batman_cx

Admit it, just for a moment you were all turned around. Yes, the hair on her head, not to mention her neck, dispels the upside down illusion. But that's some next level makeup skill all the same.

As camouflage goes, it's hard to beat this snake's.

Reddit | txslam

There is a snake in this pic, I promise. It took me a couple of minutes, so don't feel bad at all if you don't see it right away.

If you need a hint, it's in the middle of the pic, about an inch below the little green leaf, heading to the right.

Speaking of good camouflage...

Reddit | dragonboy2734

And inconvenient camouflage, too - the uploader of this pic said they had gone so far as to replace all the cards in their wallet after losing it before realizing where it had been all along.

I have to admit, that's an excellent hiding spot.

I assure you, there is a cat in this pic, too.

Reddit | Ethanzap02

Again, I will admit that it took me a couple of minutes to see it. However, seeing it again wasn't quite as difficult as that snake.

If you're having some difficulty, check out that middle stack of wood toward the top.

No amount of grilling will make this edible.

Reddit | AzUreDr

I know, it looks like raw meat. Heck, I kind of want it to be meat. But it's just a smooth, highly polished rock. Okay, mineral, if you prefer.

Likewise, you don't want to try to mash this.

Reddit | classicjondor

Because it is, again, a mineral and not a potato. Which has me wondering if there's some kind of market for rocks that look like food.

And yet, this is not a mineral.

Reddit | thesmallshadows

It works the other way around, too. But hey, at least you can bite into this without fear of intense pain, misery, and thousands of dollars in dental work.

It's really just a fancy purple carrot, not some sort of geode.

One of these things is not like the others.

Reddit | 132Skiper

One of these things might, however, want to be left alone with a gigantic pile of mangoes for a while. Mind you, I don't even know if birds eat mangoes or not. But the mango is a delicious fruit!

Here's looking at you.

Reddit | boyflo06

If any horror directors out there are absolutely starved for ideas, well, this is something, I guess. That disembodied face in the window, peering out at the world like a daydreaming serial killer?

Yeah, it's just the underside of a plant. But who knows, maybe it wants revenge for all the houseplants that have died there.

Not cool.

Reddit | LukeyReyno

Well, at least the yearbook editors chose a subtle font color, otherwise their mistake would stick out like a terrible, cringe-y sore thumb forever.

It's unfortunate - typos are easy to make, but that's one you really want to catch.

Don't try to clean your screen.

Reddit | Baitrix

Or your glasses, for that matter. I know, it looks like the building's windows are blurry, like maybe the pic hasn't loaded correctly. But that's just how they look. They're supposed to be like that.

When nature gets artsy.

Reddit | qazdrtgbjiol

Check out the pattern on this butterfly's wings - can you make out the face from Edvard Munch's The Scream on there? Just along the top of the wings, repeating.

I suppose there's a case to be made that it's more like the Ghostface Killer from the Scream movies, too.

Artwork of another kind.

Raccoon1304

You won't see this on any gallery wall, even though it's framed above someone's fireplace. That's because it's not traditional artwork, but the original wallpaper in this house.

The owners just left a rectangle of it showing and put a frame around it.

It's a real life Where's Waldo!

Reddit | DirtyPandaBoi

No really, Waldo - or Wally, if you're across the pond - is actually in this pic! Take a moment, have a look around and see if you can find him.

Hint: Look between the "no bus" signs, down about an inch, and slightly toward the right.

No, nobody left a tire standing out in this garage.

Reddit | Sprok56

Okay, this one got me at first too. It's a pretty good optical illusion - if you've ever been told to shine something so well you can see your face in it, well, this garage took it to the next level.

The truck is so reflective it looks like it's not even there. All you can make out is the tire and the door handle.

Just poochy.

Reddit | hdbcbbcbc

If you look closely, you can make out about half of a dog's face in this crystal. That little dot in the middle of the white space is its eye and the squiggly line on the left is its nose.

Was this tiger a dog in a former life?

Reddit | Jin_TFM

What is it with seeing dog faces in things? Because there's a dog's face in this tiger's fur, for sure. Just look at its shoulder. That is 100% a golden retriever giving side eye.

Good one.

Reddit | jamesjamesjames3

You know, it's almost certainly a joke, and if it is, I say well done. You just know that if you're going to get away with spelling "smart" wrong, it's going to be on the license plate of a fabulously expensive Mercedes.

Real life Sims?

Reddit | Pitbullbaby

The sun is hitting this corrugated metal roofing panel at just such an angle that no shadows appear, making it look like it's been photoshopped in, or like it's a digital building component like you'd need in The Sims.
