Grant Imahara, host of Mythbusters and The White Rabbit Project has died at age 49, The Hollywood Reporter reports.
Fans, friends, and co-workers have taken to social media to share their grief and condolences for the family at this difficult time.
Grant was an electrical engineer and roboticist who used his expertise on Mythbusters and The White Rabbit Project to design and build robots for the show. He also operated computers and electronics when the myths required it.
"He was an important part of our Discovery family and a really wonderful man. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family," they continued.
Fellow Mythbusters host shared a photograph of herself with Grant, writing, "Somedays I wish I had a time machine."
"I’m at a loss. No words. I’ve been part of two big families with Grant Imahara over the last 22 years. Grant was a truly brilliant engineer, artist and performer, but also just such a generous, easygoing, and gentle PERSON. Working with Grant was so much fun. I’ll miss my friend," he wrote.
"I just cannot believe it. I don’t even know what to say. My heart is broken. Goodbye buddy," Tory tweeted alongside a shot of the two friends taken from the program.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Grant passed away suddenly following a brain aneurysm.

"So smart, funny, and kind. Just an amazing and gracious man. Rest in peace Grant. The world was a more interesting place for your being here," wrote Juan Carlos Bagnell, a collaborator of Grant's.
"He would drop anything and everything to help a friend, including our engagement. He put charity and community work as a priority in so many projects. He was an inspiration in so many ways, and I'm going to miss that joyful laugh so much. The silliness and adventure," Mercer continued.
"This news about @grantimahara is heartbreaking… he brought so much light and happiness into the world with his creations. I’m so sad to see him go. Rest In Peace, my friend," added Trace Dominguez, a friend of Grant's.
