9+ Product Dupes That Are Just As Good As The Real Thing

There's nothing more satisfying in the world than finding a dupe of an expensive product for way cheaper than the original.

That feeling of satisfaction is about to multiply tenfold. Why? Because I've rounded up the best dupes from my favorite areas: home decor, makeup, accessories, and even furniture.

So, let's go save some money. Or spend some money. Either way.

Cheat expensive pantry organization with Ikea products.

Ikea

Listen, I would love to organize my kitchen using products from The Home Edit, but that's just not in my budget. As usual, Ikea came through and made a bunch of stunning food storage alternatives, like this giant jar for $8.99.

Literally anything from West Elm.

West Elm, Wayfair

Before you lose your mind at the prices at West Elm (I know I have) hit up Wayfair for alternatives. I found the top bench at West Elm for $499, and the bottom bench at Wayfair for $202.99.

My favorite mascara: L'Oreal Lash Paradise.

L'Oreal

Some people compare it to TooFaced's "Better Than Sex" mascara ($25 at Ulta), but I think it's a closer dupe of Urban Decay's "Perversion" mascara ($25 at Ulta). Either way, it's like $10 and it's a great mascara. Get it from Amazon.

Red alert: a dupe for the infamous Tatcha Silk Canvas Primer exists.

Amazon

I can attest to this one, because I've tried both! There is no reason to spend $70 on a makeup primer, no matter what beauty influencers tell you. Get e.l.f.'s Poreless Primer instead.

Have Amazon help you out in the fridge department.

Amazon

I have an obsession with finding The Home Edit alternatives, okay? So let's check out this entire set of acrylic organizers for your fridge from Amazon for $39.99. Not bad, considering T.H.E retails for $10.99 for one.

Say goodbye to Kat Von D.

Amazon

Her famous Tattoo Eyeliner retails for $20+, and I am just not about that life. Instead, go for NYX's Epic Ink Liner.

(I'm partial to their Matte Liquid Liner, in case you were wondering.)

Get midcentury furniture at Target.

West Elm, Target

The top media console is available at West Elm for $1499. Um, no thanks! The bottom console is available from Target for $299.99. Much better. Now, the Target one is a little smaller, but they definitely have the same energy.

Always hit up Amazon for hardware.

Amazon

You could pay $22 for 2 cabinet pulls from Pottery Barn, or you could buy a pack of 10 from Amazon for $30. I know which one I'd go for.

I wish 2012 me knew not to blow money on a Michael Kors watch.

Why? Well, for starters, there's cheaper watches out there — like Fossil watches, as a random example.

But the big kicker? Fossil actually makes Michael Kors' watches. Those are Fossil watches. They're the same watches.

So skip this one for $150 and get this one for $89, okay?

Well that's the same lamp twice.

CB2, Amazon

Please, I am begging you: do not buy expensive lamps before searching for that same style elsewhere. This basic lamp from CB2 is $69.95, and this (almost) identical lamp from Amazon is $18.

Buy absolutely nothing from Jeffree Star.

All In the Blush

Instead, consult All In the Blush for dupes of every single Jeffree lip product. They include budget options, too!

Check bigger retailers for artist collabs.

Urban Outfitters

For instance, Urban Outfitters collaborates with artists and photographers to sell their work at a cheaper price than on sites like RedBubble or Society6. Example: Ingrid Beddoes' art prints!

Do NOT waste your money on a Beauty Blender.

Target

Because you are about to drop $20 on a sponge that will lose its tip the minute you wash it. Instead, pick up a Real Techniques beauty sponge for $7.39 from Target.

I'd like to interest you in not paying $80 for a planter.

CB2, Urban Outfitters

On the left, we have the aforementioned $80 hanging planter from CB2. On the right, we have $24 hanging planter from Urban Outfitters.

I think we can all agree on the choice that should be made here.
