Ryan Reynolds Announces Missing Bear He Offered A $5000 Award For Has Been Found

We all love a happy ending!

Ryan Reynolds is one of our favorite celebrities because he's not afraid to put himself out there to help others, whether he's donating to charity or video-chatting with sick kids in the hospital. Recently he put his own wallet on the line for a young woman in Vancouver and it looks like his effort to raise attention for the issue paid off.

The story was initially reported by a CBC reporter in Vancouver.

The initial tweet called for anyone who had seen a stuffed bear that had been taken in a robbery to contact them, as "Mara, the owner says it has her mom’s voice inside saying, ‘I love you I’m proud of you, I’ll always be with you. Her mom died last year."

This tweet caught Ryan's attention.

"Vancouver: $5,000 to anyone who returns this bear to Mara. Zero questions asked. I think we all need this bear to come home," he tweeted in response.

Ryan's hometown is Vancouver, so this story likely had a personal effect on him!

Canadian celebrity George Stroumboulopoulos added to the reward pool as well.

The entertainment show host and presenter also chipped in a matching $5000, bringing the total reward for the bear's return up to $10,000. That's definitely not something to sneeze at!

Mara herself asked people who also wanted to contribute to the reward fund to instead make a powerful donation.

Mara requested that anyone else who wished to contribute to the fund instead make a donation to the palliative care group that helped take care of her mother in her final days.

Ryan did up the ante slightly as other celebrities joined in.

Ryan's pals like Zach Braff and Dan Levy also tweeted to raise awareness and hopefully help Mara find her bear. Ryan also added that he would be sending some of his Aviation Gin to anyone who found the bear and returned it to Mara.

Now there's finally some good news — the bear has been found!

There is also "NOT A SINGLE SCRATCH ON HER! Two kind samaritans returned her to us in a safe space, voice is there, just no glasses!!" Mara tweeted after announcing the return of the bear.

We're so glad this story had a happy ending, and we hope whoever found the bear loves gin!

Mara is clearly ecstatic to have the bear returned.

And who wouldn't be? Thanks to the kind actions of some strangers and with the help of one of the biggest celebrities in the world, Mara got the happiest possible ending to her story!

We're glad this emotional story got the happy ending it deserved!

We're also so glad that Ryan Reynolds brought so much attention to this young woman's story and rallied so many people around her in what must have been an incredibly difficult time!
