Woman Takes To Instagram To Show How Warped Pant Sizes Are

Shopping for clothes is all fun in games until you get to the pants section. Anyone else break into a cold sweat while rummaging through the sizes?

Thankfully, pant sizes are messed up across the board, and one woman took to Instagram to prove it.

Lifestyle Instagrammer Becki isn't afraid to show her vulnerable side.

While her grid is usually filled with stylish outfits and the occasional coffee or gin, she also posts an array of body-positive posts, proudly flaunting her unposed body.

One of her latest body-positive posts is centered around a super relatable subject many of us female-identifying people experience when shopping for pants.

She explained in the post that she purchased three different sizes and styles of jeans, and her results show how inconsistent sizes are.

The pair pictured above is a size 12. That's all fine, until we move through her other purchases.

This darker wash pair is a size 10, and they fit her perfectly.

The white jeans in the following photo are a size 8, which while she admits are a little snug, they still fit.

After realizing how wild the discrepancies were, she had an important PSA for those who may feel discouraged when shopping for pants.

"CLOTHES ARE MADE TO FIT YOUR BODY, NEVER CHANGE YOUR BODY TO FIT THE CLOTHES!," she wrote

"Sizing. Specifically high street sizing. I have no words...[S]izing is not an exact science (especially in fast fashion) and you absolutely cannot attach your self-worth to the number on the label because you're setting yourself up to fail! I mean, look!!! "

She continued, "This to me is madness and if I wasn't as comfortable in my own body and my own skin as I am, these jeans would make me feel rubbish, worthless, fat and the list goes on."

"But I am begging you all, PLEASE do not let the clothes define how you feel about yourself. You are more than a size label. You are more than those jeans that don't quite fit right. And if something doesn't fit you please remember that there is NOTHING wrong with your body and EVERYTHING wrong with the clothes."

She closed her inspiring post with some important words, saying, "You are enough, just the way you are."

Many people appreciated the honestly and vulnerability of Becki to put herself out like there, and many more shared their own stories.

This is definitely a post many of us needed to see today!
