There are also those who are attempting to right the ship and some who never veered off-course to begin with. Have a look and check out these 10+ celebrities who are celebrating being sober.

Jada Pinkett-Smith.

“I had many addictions, of several kinds, to deal with my life issues, but today, at 42, I have my wisdom, my heart and my conscience as the only tools to overcome life’s inevitable obstacles,” Jada said during an interview with the Los Angeles Times.

Bradley Cooper.

“I wouldn’t have been able to have access to myself or other people, or even been able to take in other people, if I hadn’t changed my life. I never would have been able to have the relationships that I do."

She's a homebody and is proud of it!

Demi Lovato.

Just this past year, Demi almost lost her life after an accidental overdose. She's since back on the wagon and is doing better than ever.

Keep on fighting, Demi! We're behind you and wish you nothing but the best.

Brad Pitt.

Brad reflects fondly on his time spent in AA:

“You had all these men sitting around being open and honest in a way I have never heard. It was this safe space where there was little judgment, and therefore little judgment of yourself.”

When asked why he doesn't drink, Tyler gave the most Tyler answer of all:

“I know that I don’t want to be that drunk guy. But I do know I want to hit a jump on a dirt-bike. I can look at that and say: ‘I want to do that.’ I’ve never seen anyone drunk, like, ‘Damn, I want to be that.’"

Miley Cyrus.

Miley has been sober for more than half a year. During an interview, Miley mentioned:

"I did a lot of family history, which has a lot of addiction and mental health challenges. So just going through that and asking, 'Why am I the way that I am?'"

Zac Efron.

When asked what spurred him to attend his first AA meeting, Zac said:

"I just started going and I think it's changed my life. I'm much more comfortable in my own skin. Things are so much easier now."

Anne plans to not drink until her son's 18th birthday!

"I quit drinking back in October, for 18 years," said Anne. "I'm going to stop drinking while my son is in my house just because I don’t totally love the way I do it and he's getting to an age where he really does need me all the time in the mornings."

Russell Brand.

"Don't pick up a drink or drug, one day at a time. It sounds so simple. It actually is simple but it isn't easy: it requires incredible support and fastidious structuring. Not to mention that the whole infrastructure of abstinence based recovery is shrouded in necessary secrecy."

Rob Lowe.

“I got sober in 1991. So it's almost 24 years later. And that changed my life forever and everything good that I have is a result of that.”

I literally couldn't be happier for Rob. He is literally my hero. Literally.

Eminem.

It should be noted that Eminem made this post on 4/20. I had no idea that Marshall had more than a decade of sobriety under his belt.

What an incredible achievement and a shining example for us all!

Robert Downey Jr.

“Job one is get out of that cave. A lot of people do get out but don’t change. So the thing is to get out and recognize the significance of that aggressive denial of your fate, come through the crucible forged into a stronger metal. Or whatever."

As Jamie tells it,

"I realized that I only had two choices: I was either going to die or I was going to live, and which one did I want to do? And then I said those words, 'I'll get help,' or, 'I need help. I'll get help.'"
