A 'Who's The Boss' Sequel With Tony Danza And Alyssa Milano Is In The Works

There's no honor higher for a sitcom than to become so iconic that you're remembered long after you go off the air. One of the most surefire ways to know that this has happened to your show is when even two decades after the show ended, there's interest in a sequel.

It's even better when that sequel gets confirmed.

The original *Who's The Boss* ran from 1984 to 1992.

The show followed former professional baseball player Tony Micelli after he moved to Connecticut with his daughter Samantha to work as a live-in housekeeper for a divorced advertising executive.

Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano starred in the iconic show and they made a very important announcement.

Alyssa revealed on Twitter that a sequel series is in the works!

"We feel the time is right to tell the story of where these amazing characters are today. Can’t wait to share their stories with you. So happy," Alyssa tweeted alongside an announcement of the sequel.

The new series will follow Samantha, all grown up, living in the same house.

According to Sony, the show will "explore generational differences, as well as opposing world views and parenting styles within the dynamic of a modern family in 2020.”

Tony and Alyssa will also serve as executive producers.

"Excited to bring The Micelli family back to television!" tweeted Tony Danza.

I don't know who's more excited — fans of the show, or the original stars!
