Twitter Has Decided There's 'No Need' For Any More Reboots Or Remakes In Hollywood

It's always complicated when your favorite film franchise gets a surprise reboot, remake, or sequel. On the one hand, it's exciting to get new content for your favorite media, but on the other, you don't want anything to tarnish the image or the memory of that media in the first place.

People on Twitter have decided they've had enough.

This sentiment largely came after an announcement of yet another classic Hollywood film being remade.

The classic film Planes, Trains, And Automobiles is lined up to be remade starring Will Smith and Kevin Hart. Nothing against those two actors, but many felt that the film did not need a remake and was fine just the way it is.

Lots of people took to Twitter to express a general tiredness of reboots and remakes.

"I miss movies that aren't sequels, prequels, remakes, reboots...," one person tweeted, while another added, "My opinion is: STOP THE REBOOTS/REMAKES if they can't come up with new ideas then just stop making movies!"

Honestly, I agree!

However, some people thought that this must be what audiences actually want.

"Then go support original movies and stop supporting sequels/remakes/reboots that you don’t want. People say they want more original movies but most original movies fail while the opposite happens for shit like this. Hypocritical as hell," one fan pointed out.

What do you think?
