Massive Murals Made With A Paint That Actually Cleans The Air Are Being Installed In Cities

I'm such a fan of public murals that help to beautify the surrounding neighborhood. I think they are such a fantastic idea.

But have you ever heard of an eco-friendly mural that actually helps to clean the air as well? I can't say that I have so this particular project has piqued my curiosity. Let's find out more about it, shall we?

This mural is a part of the 'Converse City Forests' project which aims to plant 'trees' in areas where it's not possible for them to grow.

By "trees", I mean special murals like this one that clean the air while spreading awareness about important environmental issues.

This particular mural was created by two talented artists, Dawid Ryski and Maciek Polak, and executed by Good Looking Studio.

It now stands next to the Politechnika metro station in a busy hub of Warsaw, Poland. Oh my goodness, I need to see it next time I go back to my homeland.

What makes this mural eco-friendly, you ask?

Well, it's actually the special paint that was used to create it. The photocatalytic paint is activated by light to break down pollutants. This turns the substances into harmless nitrates which then improves air quality.

Isn't that fantastic? Whoa, I've never heard of that.

It is estimated that this huge public art has the cleaning power of 720 trees. That's so incredible, to say the least. I wish all buildings were painted with something like this, huh?

The concept of this particular mural aims to blend nature and urban architecture, especially in a busy city like Warsaw.

While Ryski was able to focus on the architecture part, it was Polak's job to incorporate the nature design into the building.

The two artists wanted to convey the message 'Come Together For Tomorrow' to show that together we can make change happen and help the environment.

I think the overall idea worked out just beautifully here. What's your take on it?

This is not only a great message to spread around the world but it does something much more.

By using eco-friendly paint, it shows that we can all do something to make sure we're leaving this planet better for our children.

There are more murals planned for the future in cities like Sydney, Sao Paolo, Lima, and Bogota as well as others.

The entire project aims to produce art that equals the air-cleaning power 3,000 trees. I think that's a commendable and impressive goal indeed.

I gotta say, I'm so happy to see projects like these not only in my beloved Warsaw but all over the world.

I think that's such a brilliant idea. This mural looks beautiful and it does something good for the environment, too.
