10+ Weird Fashion And Beauty Trends That Thankfully Didn't Catch On

Beauty and fashion trends come and go, and some of them are weirder than others. I gotta admit, I'm a bit shy when it comes to experimenting with my own look.

So, usually, I just creep other people's looks, ha, ha! If you're a creeper like me you may find some of these looks amazing or outrageous. I'll leave that up to you.

1. It's All In The Eyes

And in this case, the eyes are on your fingernails. I dunno about you, but I find this nail art just a little bit creepy, ha, ha! Don't get me wrong, this is definitely a look.

2. This 'Frozen' Idea

Speaking of eyes, how about this unusual eye makeup? I dunno what to make of it to be quite honest. Perhaps she was inspired by the movie Frozen or she really loves to cry frozen tears?

3. This Fishy Eye Makeup

OMG, I honestly don't even understand what I'm looking at here. Are these some kind of sea creatures she has on her eyes? I don't get it. I think I would have to pass on this look.

4. These Pimple Nails

Yes, you heard me right, I said pimple nails. Somebody actually thought making nail art that resembles nasty pimples was a good idea. This is honestly the grossest thing I've seen in nail art in a long time.

5. These Lips

I gotta admit, I love this shade of purple and the whole paint splash idea is pretty fabulous. I just don't see this lip art becoming a trend. Am I crazy? Or, are you with me on this?

6. These Pits

Reddit | TJdutch

I dunno about you, but, I, for one, don't like to bring any attention to my dirty pit stains. I know this is supposed to be some kind of embellishment but still, it's a pretty bad placement if you asked me.

Try walking into a room with this high ponytail. I dare you, lol. See how many places you'd be able to fit in to. Maybe with this hairdo, you'll know just how really tall people feel.

As you know, I'm a huge fan of plants. But, having said that, even I wouldn't feel that this was the proper way to show my love of plants and gardening. This is just too weird.

10. This Jacket

Reddit | Hazys

Japanese fashion designer Issey Miyake came out with his now-famous inflatable jackets in 1987. I'm not sure this is the look I would be going for, but I guess it worked for him on the runway.

11. These Fuzzy Lips

I dunno if it's just me but these lips remind me of the tennis balls I use in my laundry, lol. Maybe this look is good for those cat lovers who love all things fuzzy.

12. This Bag Look

Reddit | RobertLaneShmurdaIII

Here's one way to upcycle a bunch of bags and make them into an outfit. I don't think this is really ready-to-wear but I applaud them for the concept. Still, in this case, I would prefer the "less is more" approach to fashion.

13. These Socks...?

Reddit | GuiltyStrike1

These socks (for a lack of a better word) don't exactly look very comfortable to me. I think this is one trend I would be very happy to pass on. What about you? Are you digging this?

14. Working Comb Nails

Have you ever used your fingers as a comb to quickly touch up your hair? This nail art took that idea to a scary new level by turning nails into actual working combs. Yikes!

Okay, I think I've seen enough of these so-called 'avant garde' looks.

To me, they should just stay on the runway because that's exactly where they belong. There's no way these are becoming mainstream trends anytime soon. Am I right?
