Quotes For Everyone Bracing Themselves For 'Man Cold' Season

Ladies, I have some bad news. Maybe you haven't checked your calendars lately, or maybe you've lost all sense of time this year, but we're coming up on that dreaded time of the year; the time of sneezing, dry coughs, and complaining. Lots and lots of complaining.

That's right: man cold season.

As if we haven't had to deal with enough this year, we'll soon have to deal with the adult men in our lives who can't handle coming down with a little case of the sniffles.

Maybe it's the way 2020 has been going, but I'm anticipating an *especially* bad man cold season this year.

You know how sometimes you stand out on your porch at the end of autumn, breathing in the crisp air, and solemnly think to yourself, "It's gonna be a nasty winter"?

Well, that's how I'm feeling about my boyfriend's inevitable cold symptoms.

What is it about the common cold that makes some men turn into absolute *babies*?

I know that sometimes you can be hit with an especially hard bout of it, and I've even found myself lying in bed with a pillow over my face, wishing I could just die.

Or, you know, go to sleep for a week and wake up feeling better.

But rather than wallow in self-pity, I get up and do the laundry and make dinner and deal with my symptoms like an adult.

I don't want to turn this into a "men are this and women are that" rant, but I must say that in my experience, some men just simply cannot handle the experience of having a cold.

They moan, they complain, they act like we need to the fastest route to the hospital mapped out "just in case"... Honestly, they just turn into melodramatic messes of snot and tissues.

So personally, I'm preparing myself for what is sure to be a tough man cold season.

I've got lots of extra blankets stashed away, the cabinet filled to the brim with cold medicine (cherry, of course), and enough boxes of tissues to last us a lifetime.

Also known as enough get us through the season.

Good luck, ladies, and may the odds be ever in your favor!
