Reba McEntire Shares Update On Potential 'Reba' Reboot: 'We Have A Lot Of Stories To Tell'

Reboots of popular shows are all the rage right now — we have Roseanne (and then The Conners), Will & Grace, Dynasty, and tons more shows and even more movies that breathe new life into old content.

One show that hasn't gotten that treatment so far, but might just yet, is Reba.

*Reba* is one of the best sitcoms of the 2000s.

The series followed Reba McEntire as a single mother who grapples with being involved in the life of her ex-husband and his pregnant new wife while her teenage daughter is, herself, also pregnant.

It was a pretty hefty premise, but it really worked.

Melissa Peterman (who played Barbra Jean) and Reba recently had a mini-reunion on Facebook, imagining how each other's characters would be holding up in quarantine.

You can watch the hilarious video on Reba's Facebook page right here to see for yourself that they haven't lost the magic that made Reba so fantastic in the first place.

That magic is why there have been tons of rumors about the show getting a reboot.

Reba was recently asked about the possibility herself, and she's all for it.

"I'd even like to do a reboot of the Reba TV show," Reba told Taste Of Country Nights. "That would be a lot of fun because we had so many stories we were wanting to tell when they canceled us, so we were shocked."

"We had no idea why they canceled us," Reba went on to say.

"We were a huge success, so it was a head-scratcher for us. So to come back now... that amount of time, that time spread, we'd have a lot of stories to tell," Reba added.
