1. They first met on the set of *Green Lantern*.

While they had undeniable chemistry — both on and off the set — they couldn't act on it since they were both with other people.

Blake was dating her Gossip Girl co-star, Penn Badley, while Ryan was married to Scarlett Johansson.

So instead, they forged a strong friendship. But everything changed when they decided to set each other up with other people for a double date.

Yep, these two totally got together by accident.

"That was the most awkward date because we were just like fireworks coming across," Ryan told Entertainment Weekly's SiriusXM show.

Ryan admitted that being friends did make things a little weird at first.

But it also came with a major perk, like having a strong foundation.

"It was weird at first but we were buddies for a long time. I think it's the best way to have a relationship is to start as friends," he said.

2. They fell in love over food in Boston:

Blake revealed this food for thought when they were out celebrating Ryan's 40th at O Ya restaurant.

"We fell in love at your restaurant in Boston," Blake wrote on Instagram. "We stay in love at your restaurant in NY."

3. They got married in secret in 2012:

They got married at the mansion that was featured in The Notebook (AKA the most romantic movie ever).

They said their "I do's" in front of only 70 guests.

However, not everyone saw their choice of venue as romantic.

The two received many criticisms for choosing the Boone Hall Plantation as their venue.

In a recent interview, Ryan apologized for their choice of venue.

"It's something we'll always be deeply and unreservedly sorry for. It's impossible to reconcile," Ryan said, before explaining how they came to have their wedding there.

“What we saw at the time was a wedding venue on Pinterest. What we saw after was a place built upon devastating tragedy," he told Fast Company.

4. They love to troll each other:

You know what they say: the couple that laughs together, stays together!

Back in 2019, Ryan posted this hilarious birthday tribute for his dear wife. She has since retaliated with her own clever posts!

5. They're both super close to Taylor Swift:

We're living for this friendship!

Ryan wore a t-shirt that had Taylor's two kitties on it in Deadpool 2. In addition to this, their daughter James' voice is the one you hear at the beginning of Taylor's song, "Gorgeous."

Taylor even wrote her latest single, "Betty," using their children's names.

The song features the names James, Inez and Betty (which was rumored to be the name of their third daughter).

6. It was *Blake* who drove them to the hospital when she was in labor:

Uhh, say what?

Even though she had enough on her plate with, you know, about to push out a baby, Ryan couldn't resist being, well, Ryan.

He ended up playing the song "Let's Get It On" on the stereo.

7. They named their first child after Ryan's father:

Initially, a lot of people thought that they gave her a unisex name to match her parent's.

But it was actually James after Ryan's late father who passed away from Parkinson's disease.

8. They had their third baby in secret:

Not only this, but they managed to keep it secret for two months!

That is super difficult to pull off in Hollywood, but they did it using a few tricks.

Even though they haven't confirmed the name of their third daughter, as we said, fans are speculating that they named her "Betty."

And of course, fans are convinced that the name is to honor Betty White.

A huge reason for the secret is because they want their kids to have a normal life.

"Ryan had a nice, normal upbringing, and we want our kids to have the same normal life that we had," Blake told Marie Claire in 2016.

"We don’t ever want to rob them of what we had because then we’d feel really selfish.”

9. Ryan can remember the exact moment he knew Blake was The One:

Excuse us while we weep because this IS SO ADORABLE.

He told GQ that they were hanging out at this little empty restaurant in Tribeca when a song came on and he asked her to dance.

This is a term used to describe a father who has all girls as his kids, like the late Kobe Bryant.

"I never admitted it out loud, to myself or my wife, but I really wanted a little girl. It’s the best," Ryan told People in 2016.

“I don’t have to prepare to be wrapped around my daughter’s finger,” he added.

“I have been wrapped around her little finger since the day she plopped out into this world.”

Excuse us while we swoon. There is nothing but heart eyes over here.

That's because they've both always wanted a big family.

"We both come from big families — my parents did four, Blake's did five. A lot of people say it's crazy, but we'll only know when we're there, you know?" Ryan told Details in 2013.

"We'll walk through that fire pretty happily, I think," he continued.

Meanwhile, Blake told Marie Claire that, "If I could spit out a litter of kids, I would."

We can see why she's besties with cat-loving T-Swift!

Now, remember: they did fall in love over food! They're clearly foodies.

After the actor finished filming Deadpool in his hometown of Vancouver, he couldn't leave the country without some tasty treats to share.

Since they got stopped by border patrol, Ryan had to sing for his ~~supper~~ dessert.

"He was saying dance monkey and I danced! I sang that thing in the best falsetto I had and I was on my way through the border eating pie by the next stop."

Or the time he admitted to the world that parenting is HARD (kind of).
