Eugene Levy Wins First Emmy In 37 Years

Eugene Levy is truly the ultimate ZADDY! Okay, too far? Sorry.

Anyway, as I was saying, Eugene Levy is truly one of the most talented and deserving actors of our generation.

He is also proof that life can never stop surprising you and the golden years of life are truly something to look forward to.

Eugene Levy has been on the scene for over 5 DECADES!

The 73-year-old first got his start in local theatre before joining Canada's acclaimed improve comedy group, Second City.

There, he met and befriended fellow Schitt's Creek superstar Catherine O'Hara!

Prior to "Schitt's Creek" Eugene was best known for his roles in the "American Pie" films, as well as my personal favorite, the principal in the Mary Kate and Ashley film, "New York Minute"!

But in all seriousness, Schitt's Creek is one of the greatest shows of all time and that is in large part to Eugene's amazing character, Johnny Rose.

Now, he's finally getting the recognition he deserves and fans couldn't be more proud!

At the 2020 Emmy Awards on Sunday night, Eugene won his first Emmy in 37 YEARS! The 73-year-old won Outstanding Lead in a Comedy Series!

THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT BABY!

In addition to winning his own Emmy for Outstanding Actor, Eugene got to share the joy with his son, Dan Levy.

The father-son duo created the show together back in 2013 and have now made history with Schitt's Creek being the first comedy show to sweep their category with SEVEN WINS!
