Queen Elizabeth Strips Harvey Weinstein Of Royal Film Honor

Queen Elizabeth is notoriously one of the strongest women in history, so it's no surprise to me that she has decided to take a stand against convicted sex offender Harvey Weinstein.

The 94-year-old powerhouse has recently stripped the disgraced Hollywood producer of his CBE Award, according to the London Gazette, the UK’s official public record.

Back in 2004, The Queen awarded Harvey Weinstein with the prestigious CBE award for his contributions to British film.

Back then, Harvey was regarded as a highly successful Hollywood producer.

Now, in 2020, Harvey is known for being a convicted sex offender who was sentenced to 23 years in prison after a Manhattan jury found him guilty of predatory sex assault, rape and forcible oral sex.

Now, the Queen is stripping Harvey of his prestigious CBE award.

The London Gazette published the news, writing: "The Queen has directed that the appointment of Harvey Weinstein to be an Honorary Commander of the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, dated 29 January 2004, shall be cancelled and annulled and that his name shall be erased from the Register of the said Order."

NBC News reported that this rare removal of official British honors only takes place when the holder has brought the honors system "into disrepute" according to the British government.

NBC News continued, citing that the "disrepute" can include instances when the holder "has been found guilty by the courts of a criminal offence and sentenced to a term of imprisonment of more than three months."

I guess all that's left to say is YAS, QUEEN— LITCHERALLY.

It's clear Harvey's despicable behaviour is more than enough of a reason to strip his CBE award, and it seems the Queen agrees!
