Mark Wahlberg Donates 1.3 Million Masks To Schools Across America

One of the best parts about being a celebrity has to be the fact that you are able to help out with the causes you're most passionate about. And for Mark Wahlberg, it looks like one of those causes is supporting essential workers, teachers, and students in the fight against the coronavirus.

Information about the coronavirus pandemic is rapidly changing and Diply is committed to providing the most recent data as it becomes available. Some of the information in this story may have changed since publication, and we encourage readers to use online resources from CDC and WHO to stay up to date on the latest information surrounding COVID-19.

Mark Wahlberg is a Hollywood icon.

Known for his work as an actor in films like Lone Survivor, The Departed, Ted, The Fighter, Boogie Nights, and Deepwater Horizon (and loads more), Mark is also a successful producer and the owner of the restaurant chain Whalbergers.

He's also a pretty generous guy!

Mark recently released a special video message in order to thank teachers and essential workers.

“You guys have kept us healthy, safe and supplied us with all the necessities,” Mark said in the video, and added, "Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart."

Of course, Mark didn't just have gratitude to give!

Mark announced that he'd helped make a huge donation of masks across the country.

"To show our support, my company Performance Inspired Bionutrition has partnered with Accelerate360 and LifeToGo to donate 1.3 million disposable masks to schools across our great country," he revealed.

That's an incredible number of masks that will help make a huge difference, especially to those teachers or students who can't afford their own!

"Every day brings a new challenge but we continue to pray for you and for your families and please know your efforts are much appreciated," he said.

"God bless you, stay safe. Thank you and you’re always in my thoughts and my prayers.”

What an awesome move from Mark, and we're sure that the teachers and students appreciate his generosity!
