10+ Interesting Facts About Sharon Osbourne Fans Didn't Know

Although she might have started out in the shadows of the iconic heavy metal band, Black Sabbath — being the behind-the-scenes mastermind, Sharon Osbourne has come a long way on her own.

From being an artist manager, to a reality television star, to a talent show host, to a talk show host, we're really wondering if there's anything she can't do.

Here are some interesting little-known facts about Sharon that fans didn't know!

1. She left *X Factor* because of the allegations that Simon Cowell and Dannii Minogue were having an affair.

"It was a situation I was uncomfortable in. So I chose to leave. Dannii didn't do anything to me. I just didn't feel comfortable working with her. I couldn't say anything at the time. How do you say ''I'm leaving because she's sucking his [expletive]?' It was very uncomfortable," she told The Sydney Morning Herald.

2. She admitted that she has never gone more than one minute without swearing.

Sharon is known for a lot of things, but one of those things is definitely her potty mouth. In an interview with EW, she admitted that she doesn't think she's ever gone more than a minute without cussing.

While that is obviously an exaggeration, it's probably not far off from the truth!

3. Her favorite word is the F-word.

"I love “[expletive]” I know that’s not the most original, but I just adore it. I could say it all day. [Expletive, expletive, expletive] You can use it in so many different ways," she told Vanity Fair.

"An adverb. It can go anywhere in a sentence. As language goes, it’s so malleable."

4. Despite her estimated worth of $220 million, she wants to continue to work.

"For me, it’s not about the money anymore. It’s about, 'What am I going to do? Make hairdressing appointments, and have massages all day?' This is what I do. My husband doesn’t want to go away, and buy a place in Palm Springs and say, 'See ya. I’m going to play golf.' No way," she told Celebrity Access.

5. She has been managing her husband, Ozzy Osbourne's career since 1976.

In an interview with Celebrity Access, she revealed that it has been her and only her managing Ozzy's career all these years.

She explained that when organizing his tours, especially with his recent health scares, she's had to be extra mindful of how much he can handle.

6. She joined *The Talk* as a favor to a friend.

In an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald, Sharon explained that she originally joined The Talk because her longtime friend, Sara Gilbert, asked her to.

The obligation didn't seem huge, so she obliged.

7. She is Jewish.

It might not be that obvious, but Sharon is, in fact, part-Jewish.

In an interview with Celebrity Access she revealed that this has made touring in Isreal with Ozzy especially sentimental for her.

8. Her father, Don Arden, was a notoriously tough British artist manager.

The apple didn't fall far from the tree, evidently.

Before becoming one of Britain's hardest-hitting artist managers in the mid-'70s, Don was actually a stand-up comic. But his love for show business eventually grew and led him to the music industry instead.

9. Her mother was a dancer.

"My mother was a dancer. Her mother was a dancer/choreographer. My kids are 4th generation music industry. So I was raised going to drama school," she told Celebrity Access.

"And I used to do work in the theatre as a child. So this is all I know. So I wasn’t some snotty kid that suddenly decided to fuck a rock star," she added.

"Think about all I knew, and that’s where I come from."

10. She used to have a crush on musician, Sam Cooke.

"Oh my God, you don’t have to tell me. I fell in love with him instantly. He was the sweetest, most beautiful man, ever. Beautiful, and he smelt gorgeous. He dressed beautifully. I couldn’t get enough of Sam Cooke," she confessed to Celebrity Access.

11. Her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, went to jail for allegedly trying to murder her.

“I had no idea who was sat across from me on the sofa but it wasn’t my husband," she explained on The Talk.

"He goes to a stage where he gets that look in his eyes, the shutters were down and I just couldn’t get through to him."

"And he just said, ‘We’ve come to a decision that you’ve got to die.'"

"He was calm — very calm — then suddenly he lunged across at me and just dived on me and started to choke me. He got me down on the ground on top of me.”

She added that she frantically felt around on the table and managed to find the panic button.

“I just pressed it and the next thing I know, the cops were there.”

12. She and her father didn't speak for 15 years, but reconciled a few years before his passing.

"I wasn’t there the day that he died. But I went and sat with my father after he died. I was with my dad a good three years before he died, and I was heartbroken," she told Celebrity Access.

"Heartbroken. Listen, my father, a huge part of me is my father. He gave me an unbelievable musical education," she continued.

"My father opened my eyes to so many amazing experiences and amazing people and things like that. I was heartbroken."
