Stanley's message continued.

"I remember first seeing him playing at the Starwood in 1976 and he WAS Eddie Van Halen. So shocked and sad. My condolences to Wolfie and the family."

Wolfgang's mother and Eddie's ex-wife, actress Valerie Bertinelli, has now broken her silence on Eddie's passing.

Valerie continued.

"Through all your challenging treatments for lung cancer, you kept your gorgeous spirit and impish grin," Valerie shared alongside a photograph of herself, Eddie, and an infant Wolfgang.

Valerie then revealed that she and her son had been with Eddie at the time of his passing.

"I'm so grateful Wolfie and I were able to hold you in your last moments," Valerie shared.

"I will see you in the next life, my love," she finished.
