1. Before marrying Justin Timberlake, she didn't think she was going to have children.

In a Reddit AMA, she explained that before meeting her now-husband, she didn't think kids were in the cards for her.

She confessed that she was always more of a career woman, and preferred to "focus on" herself.

2. Despite now being married to Justin Timberlake, she was never a fan of *NSYNC.

Ironically, Jessica went on to marry one of the most significant members of the boy-band. But initially, she was not a fan of theirs!

“To be honest, I don’t listen… I know of them, of course,” she told Jimmy Fallon. “I’m not a huge fan. But, I mean, cool I guess.”

3. Her first car was a Ford Bronco.

"I like old cars. When I first drove, I drove a Bronco, a Ford Bronco. It was like a big, huge square," she told Savour Flair.

"I bought it myself when I was sixteen. It was my choice. It was a used 1994 Bronco. I just think I thought it was super cool, and big, and macho."

4. She considers herself to be more of a tomboy than a girly-girl.

In an interview with Savour Flair, she admitted that growing up she was always more interested in "tomboy" activities and less interested in Barbie dolls, fashion, and makeup.

5. She regrets dropping out of college.

"I had a year and a half there so I had the experience, but I should have stayed. I feel like I missed out on a couple of years with my girlfriends in a crazy apartment, going abroad for a year and living there," she told Savour Flair.

"I really wish I’d gone to France and learned the language. I feel like I’m close but if I could just get absorbed with the culture it would change and I don’t know when I’m going to do that," she continued.

"So yes, I do feel like I missed out on a couple of key years. I might disappear for a year or two, why not?"

6. Adam Sandler and Kevin James is the funniest actors she has ever worked with.

In a Reddit AMA, she recalled Adam Sandler and Kevin James being the funniest people she has ever had the pleasure of working with.

She explained that they were clever and quick-witted — the perfect recipe in comedy.

7. She has a trick to getting her son to eat vegetables.

Jessica revealed that like most kids, her son is not interested in eating his veggies. Thankfully, she has a sure-fire strategy to make sure he gets his greens.

“I hide vegetables in eggs, quiche, stews, soups, smoothies. I hide vegetables everywhere I possibly can!," she wrote in a Reddit AMA.

8. To stay in shape she does Zumba and yoga.

"I don’t do much. I do a cool new kind of fitness technique; my aunt is a Zumba instructor and I like it, it’s fun! I do yoga, I work with a trainer, and I enjoy doing some normal gym workouts. I hike a lot and sometimes take an occasional ballet class or an exercise class but, for me, it’s to change it up," she told Savour Flair.

9. If she never became an actress, she would have pursued archaeology, writing or photography.

"I was quite the amateur poet when I was a kid and used to love writing short stories. I had a total fascination with Indiana Jones and thought I should be an archaeologist like him but I realized they sit at a desk and brush sand away from relics all day," she wrote in a Reddit AMA.

"I used to fancy myself a very unique interesting photographer until I realized I was [expletive] at it,” she added.

"I still dabble at these things but just prefer this whole acting thing. I’m going to ask my mom to dig into the old files to find something that may have survived. For all your sakes I hope there’s nothing. Stay tuned.”

10. She’s still close to her *7th Heaven* costars.

“To be around and supported by a tight knit family was such a gift and that feeling carried from onscreen to offscreen,” she wrote in a Reddit AMA.

“I’m very grateful for people in my life who have been with me through the bad and good and it’s easy to gorget about this when you’re young and your friends are ignoring you," adding that they are all “very close to this day.”

11. She loves listening to music.

"I’m constantly listening to music, constantly changing the iPod and setting the mood. For example, here in the morning when doing makeup and hair, I was listening to Gotye. Music is an amazing thing. It’s really the international language, isn’t it?," she told Savour Flair.

12. She's also a singer, herself!

While speaking with Savour Flair, after mentioning what a big fan of music she is, she revealed that she has dabbled in singing, but doesn't plan on trying to become a professional singer. She'd rather keep it as a hobby!

"I kind of like oldies, the classic kind of jazzy. I love Chet Baker, Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin," she said.

"I really love that style, that kind of music, but I don’t necessarily listen to that. I think my secret dream is to be a glamorous lounge singer, sitting on the piano, singing away at cocktail hours or something."
