Jada Pinkett Smith Reveals She Was Mom-Shamed For Homeschooling Her Children

Almost everyone who has raised a kid thinks that they know the absolute best way to raise children. Of course, every family is unique and the things that work for one child might not be the best thing for another child.

Jada Pinkett Smith is very aware of this and has opened up about how she has been mom-shamed throughout her life.

Jada Pinkett Smith is famous for a lot of things.

While she initially became famous as an actress, the star is most known these days for being a part of The Smith family with her husband Will and her two kids, Willow and Jaden. She also hosts the incredibly popular Red Table Talk show on Facebook.

"I have had my fair share of mom shaming," Jada has revealed in a new episode of *Red Table Talk.*

"With Willow, I think the first time I got hardcore criticism, when you first cut your hair, there was a firestorm," Jada said.

"Even how you decided to educate us," Willow then added.

"You have two parents that work," Jada explained.

Jada then went on to say she believes she would've been shamed either way.

"I get shamed for homeschooling you, so that you can be with us, and I would've gotten shamed for leaving you [to go to school] and having you not be with us," Jada went on to say.

Willow then said she was often told that her problems were because of how her parents taught them.

"It was always like, 'It's not your fault, your mother should have taught you better, it's not your fault you're crazy,'" Willow said.

We're glad that Jada didn't let the criticism stop her from doing what she felt was best for her children!
