There are some people, like me, who love Halloween. And no matter what's going on in the world — hello pandemic, can you hear me? — it won't ruin our favorite occasion.
That's exactly what this handywoman thought, too. So, she came up with a clever and safe way to give out treats to kids that's straight out of a Tim Burton movie.
She didn't want kids to have to miss out on Halloween either. So she got crafty and made a sandworm inspired by her favorite Tim Burton movie.
The premise is pretty simple. It's a long tube the candy will travel through to deliver the goods to trick-or-treaters waiting at the bottom.
It's always been the creepiest part of the movie for me, hee, hee. But I gotta say, her idea is pretty genius if you ask me.
Things like various types of foam, drain spouts, poster boards, some turquoise trim, glue, and — believe it or not — duct tape to hold it all together. All you need to do is put your creativity to good use.
Then came the more advanced parts like cutting all the headpieces out of the foam. I bet it was time-consuming but totally worth it in the end.
It seems so elementary but yet so elaborate and awesome. If only everybody would follow suit and do this in the entire neighborhood. Am I right?
She used her skills and ingenuity to make her sandworm look as realistic and as close to the movie as possible. I love the whole idea of it here. It's absolutely fantastic.
Once it was all done and tested, it got the stamp of approval to be used on Halloween.
