The year 2020 seems to be the year for some people to try out new looks and styles to see what they like and what suits them. After all, for most of us, if we don't like the new look we can just hide ourselves away under the guise of quarantine until it grows out!
Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres doesn't have that luxury, so when she debuted a brand new style, she was all in!
Her talk show, her voice work, and, lately, even some controversy might come to mind when you think about Ellen.
On September 21, she returned rocking her usual look and, as always, she kicked things off with a monologue.
"This summer there were allegations of a toxic work environment at our show and there was an investigation. I learned that things happened here that never should have happened," Ellen began in front of her virtual audience.
"Being known as the 'be kind' lady is a tricky position to be in," she continued. "So let me give you some advice out there if anybody's thinking of changing their title or giving yourself a nickname, do not go with the 'be kind' lady. Don't do it. The truth is I am that person that you see on TV."
Paired with a snazzy pair of sneakers, of course. It's her classic, signature look!
On Instagram and on her show, Ellen just debuted a new, slicked back pompadour style, and we think it really suits her!
Obviously, fans had to take to social media to share their thoughts on Ellen's new look.
"Ellen's hair looking like it's about to get into a fist fight at a little league game," tweeted one person.
"She looks like Dash from The Incredibles," another person tweeted.
"I love your new haircut," one fan commented on Instagram, noting that "It matches [Ellen's wife] Portia's!"
"Loving the new look, Ellen!" one fan wrote. "It really suits you!"
