Michelle And Jim Bob Duggar Address Jill's Claim That They're 'Not On The Best Terms'

All families go through tough times where they don't always agree with each other or get along super well. That also applies to families that are in the spotlight. And when your family is as large as The Duggars' is, there are bound to be a few people who disagree or don't get along at any given point.

Jill Dillard used to make regular appearances on TLC's *Counting On*, along with her sisters and brothers.

However, she and her husband, Derick, made the decision to step away from the show.

Fans who followed Jill's journey were still able to keep up with her on social media, where she made waves by "breaking" traditional Duggar rules.

She wears whatever clothes she wants to, isn't afraid to have the occasional alcoholic drink, and sends her sons to public school.

Jill recently revealed that since leaving *Counting On* there has been "some distancing" between her and her parents, Michelle and Jim Bob.

"We're not on the best terms with some of my family. We've had some disagreements and stuff, but we're working toward healing, definitely, and restoration," Jill revealed in a Q&A video posted to her YouTube channel.

She also recently opened up to *People Magazine* about losing the power to dictate their own lives.

"Our control to choose what jobs we were allowed to accept and even where we were allowed to live was taken away from us," she explained.

They often hit roadblocks because of their family.

"The first few years of our marriage, we spent time and money working towards opportunities only to hit a dead end when we'd be told, 'Well, you're not allowed to do that," Derick added.

Leaving TLC didn't go over well with anyone, she shared.

"By that point we'd had enough. We knew we had to pull out completely to reevaluate and get our bearings."

Michelle and Jim Bob responded to the claims.

Speaking to People, they stated that “Every family has differences of opinion and perspective at times, but families work things out. We all love Jill, Derick, and their boys very much."

"It is our prayer that our relationship is healed and fully restored quickly!" they said.

We're glad to hear that both sides are working toward repairing and healing their relationship, and we're sure that the love in the family will win out in the end!
